Chapter 132

The principal and teacher, who had finally squeezed their way to the front, were stunned.

The what?

It was a nickname Simon had given Marguerite. He'd said that the way she brandished a mop at him reminded him of Zorro with his rapier, and since she was always slapping him around, he had dubbed her “The Dragon Tamer.”

Jordon, caught completely off guard, stood there stunned, his head reeling and his face burning.

The surrounding students were in absolute awe.

She was that beautiful and she could fight?

So cool!

Aaron wasn't surprised by Marguerite's skills, but he was shocked that she had stood up for him. A warmth spread through his chest, and his eyes began to sting.

She was still the same Marguerite. The Marguerite who would never let anyone bully him.

Time seemed to rewind to when he was a little kid and Fitch used to cause trouble at their house. He was the youngest, and Marguerite always shielded him, standing in front of him and fighting off anyone who came near. A small, skinny boy, he would cling to the hem of her shirt, feeling like she was his entire world.

The principal's vision swam. He stood beside Jordon and glared at Marguerite. "Weren't you going to break up the fight?"

Marguerite shrugged. "I did. I stopped Aaron, didn't I?"

The principal was at a loss for words.

With so many students watching, Jordon was overcome with humiliation. "You fucking bitch!" he roared, clenching his fists and swinging at Marguerite.

She dodged easily.

But Jordon's foul language and threatening move were enough to reignite the storm

in Aaron's eyes. He spun around and slammed his fist into the side of Jordon's head.

The blow sent Jordon sprawling to the ground, where he writhed in pain.

The principal paled. "Jordon! Jordon!"

A collective gasp went through the crowd. No one had ever seen Aaron hit someone that hard before.

Yellow winced as if he'd felt the punch himself, then asked with concern, "Boss, is your hand okay?"

Everyone stared at him. No wonder he was Aaron's best friend.

The portly principal screamed, "Call an ambulance! Someone call an ambulance!"

Theobald, standing at the front, had

heard Jordon's insult to Marguerite, and his eyes had turned glacial. Now, watching Jordon on the ground he had to fight the urge to go over and give him anotherkick. Rolfing the worn rosary beads on his wrist, he restrained himself, pulled out his phone, and called Anna. "Get someone down to Westside High to pull the security footage. Get the legal team on it, and start an investigation into the principal and a student named Jordon."

It didn't matter. He would handle the fallout for his sister and brother.

They ended up at KANYO Hospital again, the closest one to Westside High.

Outside Jordon's room, Aaron stood with his head bowed while Theobald was on the phone with Anna. Marguerite returned from speaking with the doctor Jordon was fine just a minor concussion. She'd overheard the nurses saying that while the spot where he was hit was extremely painful, there would be no lasting damage.

Seeing Aaron's dejected posture, Marguerite gently ruffled his hair. "You're all grown up. You know how to protect me now."

She knew that Aaron had thrown that punch for her.

Aaron bit his lip so hard it nearly bled. "I'm sorry, Maggie. I caused you so much trouble. I shouldn't have fought."

If he had never come back, none of this would have happened. Marguerite and Theobald wouldn't have to run around cleaning up his messes, and she wouldn't have been yelled at because of him.

"It's okay,” Marguerite soothed. "Theobald is a powerful man. He can handle something like this."

Aaron looked up, his dark eyes

peering through his bangs. "Maggie," he said in a low voice, "I'll study hard from

ʼn now on, and wont fight

anymore. Please don't get rid of me, okay?"
