Chapter 1163

Hanging up the phone, Juniper met the anxious eyes of her siblings. "Celine is back at Liberty Island."

"Really?" Melvin dropped his paring knife, his fists clenching and his eyes reddening. "Is she terrified? Was she crying on the phone just now?"

"Well, someone was definitely crying, but it wasn't Celine," Juniper said, scratching her head with a wry smile. She had never heard a grown man sob so hard he could barely form a coherent sentence.

The others exchanged bewildered looks. Celine wasn't crying? Then who was?

***

It was exactly as Juniper had predicted. Though Corvus had let Celine go, he was playing a long game, hoping to use her to track down the rest of the siblings.

Jimmie, Harold, Melvin, Ebony Fox, Coralie, and Juniper disguised themselves with hyper-realistic masks and slipped onto Liberty Island in secret.

Arriving at the estate, they pushed open the door to the inner chambers. They expected to find a traumatized Celine huddled in Warren's arms, weeping uncontrollably.

Instead, they found Warren crying his eyes out.

The man was holding his wife, his eyes bloodshot, weeping so dramatically he

looked utterly helpless. Celine, on the other hand, though pale and clearly exhausted, looked remarkably calm. She was gently patting his back, speaking in a soothing voice. "Go ahead and cry. Let it all out. You'll feel better."

The group's mouths twitched as they stared at the scene. Was this really the fearsome Lord of Liberty Island? He looked like a completely whipped, delicate husband. It was a sight they truly hadn't been prepared for.

At the sound of the door opening, Celine's head snapped up.

"Guys?" Her gaze swept across their disguised faces, finally landing on Juniper. Her voice instantly spiked an octave. "Juniper!"

Shoving the weeping Warren aside, she threw her arms wide and practically

sprinted toward her younger sister.

Warren froze, a tear still hanging from his lashes.

Seeing Celine stumble toward her, Juniper frowned in concern and quickly rushed to catch her.

"Juniper, I thought I'd never see you again! Waaah!"

All her pent-up fear and sorrow finally broke loose, and Celine buried her face in Juniper's shoulder, sobbing uncontrollably.

Warren blinked, feeling a sting of irony. Why did it seem like his wife was more emotional seeing her sister than seeing him her own. husband?

"Shh, it's okay," Juniper patted her back gently, letting out a soft laugh. "I'm right here."

"I saw Mom and Dad..." Celine stammered between sobs, all her grievances spilling out. "I'm so sorry. I couldn't save them."

Only Juniper truly understood how terrifying that hellhole of Sanctum Holdings was. Only she knew exactly what kind of fear her sister had endured.

"It's fine," Juniper said, wiping away Celine's tears with a tender voice. "If I could get you out, I can get them out."

"I believe you," Celine sniffled, her voice trembling but certain. Her little sister was the strongest person she knew.

"Ahem..."

Once the tears began to subside, Melvin couldn't help but let out a loud, exaggerated cough.

Celine finally seemed to remember the others were in the room. She looked over and whispered, "You're all here?"

"Yeah!" Melvin grumbled, playfully

rolling his eyes. "I'm standing right here with this incredibly handsoptez face and you just completely ignore me."

CUMS

Celine licked her lips and muttered, "Handsome face? Please, I'm always going to

look at Juniper first."
