Chapter 1233
Could it be true? Had she been away arranging her fiancé's funeral this whole time?
"Juniper, please try not to be too heartbroken," Hattie was the first to approach, offering gentle, cautious comfort. "He's in a better place now. My deepest condolences."
Juniper: "?"
"We didn't know how to reach out," another classmate chimed in, and soon everyone was talking over each other.
"We couldn't see Mr. Schwartz in person, so we all lit candles and held a vigil for him."
Juniper: "??"
"Goddess, you don't have to pretend to be strong. If you need to cry, just cry."
She looked fine on the surface, but upon closer inspection, her eyes were slightly red and she had faint dark circles. She must have cried herself to sleep!
Rumor had it that the Schwartz family had kept the memorial service completely under wraps to prevent a corporate crisis.
Juniper: "???"
Wait a second. Was she hearing this right? Her lovely classmates thought she had been MIA because she was burying Shanley?
"Hahaha..." Once it finally clicked, Juniper doubled over, clutching her stomach. She laughed so hard she nearly choked on her breakfast. It was simply too hilarious.
The rest of the class exchanged grave, concerned looks.
See? They knew her mental state was deteriorating.
"The professor is here!" someone hissed, and everyone scrambled back to their seats.
The exam papers were passed out. Throughout the test, students kept stealing worried glances at Juniper.
She was flawlessly filling out the answers, not looking the least bit like a grieving widow.
After the exam, Juniper packed up her bag, turned to the room, and offered a bright smile. "I'm getting engaged."
"Huh?!" The entire class sat frozen, staring at her in sheer horror. "To... to who?!" "Who else?"
Mr. Schwartz?! But wasn't he dead?!
Their jaws practically hit the floor.
"Come on," Juniper said, her eyes twinkling with mischief. "There's a new coffee shop next to campus. My treat. You can meet my dead fiancé while we're at it."
The group followed her out in a daze, only to freeze at the campus gates Standing there, looking impeccably handsome, incredibl vital, and very much alive in a
tailored suit, was Shanley.
"Ahhhh!" Hattie clamped a hand over her mouth, letting out a piercing shriek. "Tell me I'm not hallucinating!"
Mr. Schwartz had returned from the grave!
"He's not dead!" The entire class breathed a collective sigh of relief, some actually tearing up. "He's alive!"
They had spent weeks mourning, wondering why such a great man had been taken
so soon.
"It was a misunderstanding," Juniper said, stepping up to Shanley and fighting back
a grin. "Order whatever you want. The card doesn't have a pin."
Hattie took the black card, looking entirely bewildered.
"We'll be off," Shanley offered a polite nod, opening the passenger door for Juniper before driving away.
Meanwhile, hiding near the gates, Yolanda Sherwin stood paralyzed, her eyes wide with disbelief.
She had heard Juniper was back for the exam and rushed over, hoping to gloat. With Shanley supposedly dead. Juniper had lost her ultimate Racking She was supposed to be nothing now.
But what did she just witness?
Not only was Shanley alive, but they were getting engaged?! Juniper was about to officially become Mrs. Schwartz?
That meant Yolanda would spend
the rest of her life crushed beneath Juniper's heel. She had lost her reputation, her future was in ruins,
use of Juniper And How Juniper was ascending to the very top of society?
Yolanda gritted her teeth in bitter, venomous jealousy, glaring at the taillights of the disappearing sports car.

"This isn't the way home." Juniper looked out the window. "Where are we going?"
"It's a secret." Shanley smirked, looking as preening and arrogant as a peacock showing off its feathers.
A secret? Juniper blinked, studying his overly pleased expression.
He looked entirely too happy... Was he about to propose?
