Chapter 1248
Locked out, Shanley could only shake his head with a helpless smile.
He sheepishly made his way to the guest room.
Not long after he lay down, the door suddenly opened. Juniper appeared, her face scrunched up. "I can't sleep."
Without him, she couldn't fall asleep.
Shanley had no choice but to get up, lead her back to the master bedroom, and wrap her in his arms.
"Go to sleep. I won't do anything."
Look how much he'd terrified her.
With his promise, Juniper finally snuggled deeper into his embrace and closed her
eyes in peace.
Looking at the girl sleeping soundly in his arms.
The corners of Shanley's lips curled up, his heart melting.
She was finally his.
Completely and totally.
"Juniper."
Shanley couldn't help but lower his head, pressing a kiss to the corner of her mouth,
his voice filled with tender devotion.
"Mhm?"
Juniper was half-asleep but still managed to murmur a response.
"I love you," Shanley said, his lips grazing her ear. "I will always love you."
"Mhm, I love you too." Juniper was utterly exhausted. She covered his mouth with her hand, her brow furrowing. "Stop talking. Sleep."
So dismissive.
Shanley didn't say another word, holding her tight as he drifted into a deep slumber.
Meanwhile.
Coralie got off her flight and dragged her exhausted body home.
The house was dark.
She paused for a second, a cold smile forming on her lips.
He had left?
Of course he did.
After the nasty things she said, he must have been devastated.
Good riddance.
He was the one she had kept around the longest anyway.
If he hadn't left now, things would have spiraled out of control.

The door unlocked. Coralie walked in in her high heels, casually tossing her handbag onto the counter.
Just as she looked down to take off her shoes, a tall, dark shadow suddenly loomed over her.
"Who's there?"
Startled, Coralie instinctively reached into her bag for her gun.
"It's me."
Channing wrapped his arms around her, his low, hoarse voice laced with grievance. "Why are you back so late? I've been waiting for you for a long time."
"Channing?"
Coralie let out a breath of relief, struggling slightly, and frowned. "You didn't leave?" "Where would I go?"
Channing bit her earlobe, his movements heavy and impatient.
"Let go!"
Knowing exactly what he wanted, Coralie voiced her displeasure.
"You transferred thirty million to me
today Ms. Quill It wouldn't benet yake it for nothing."
Channing scooped her up in his arms and strode into the bedroom.
They fell onto the bed together.
"Channing!"
Coralie didn't like him being this aggressive. Though her mouth rejected him, her body betrayed her.
It had been a while since they were last intimate.
Channing knew her "weaknesses" too well, effortlessly making her lose control.
Seeing her reaction, Channing smirked.
See?
He knew she loved it.
Coralie opened her eyes, staring hazily at the man above her.
Whatever.
Finding a new boy toy would take time anyway. She'd dump him later.
Monday.
Juniper returned to the university for classes as usual.
"Juniper, congratulations!" her classmates eagerly surrounded her, offering their most sincere blessings. t .net"
blessings osted heft
"We all got the engagement sweets. Felton delivered them himself!"
Hattie waved a red box in the air. "There were party favors, too." Party favors?
Juniper glanced down-latest model smartphones, brand-new cameras...
And a few other things tucked beneath the boxes she couldn't quite see.
"Juniper, Mr. Schwartz is so
generous." The boys in the class
were so excited they looked ready to bow down to her wishing you a
happy engagement, and an early-"
He stopped himself mid-sentence.
Oops, no.
Their goddess was barely twenty. Wishing her an early child was too much.
"Wishing you a happy engagement and a lifetime of love," he quickly corrected himself.
"Happy engagement!"
"A lifetime of love!"
The others chimed in, laughter filling the classroom.
"Thank you, everyone."
Juniper offered a faint smile, speaking softly, "Head back to your seats, class is
about to start."
