Chapter 1316
Once Yvonne and Esme left, Megan rushed back to her room. Making sure no one could hear, she quickly dialed Luella's number.
"Once the deals are completed, the Executive Chief is going to lock you in a psychiatric hospital."
Megan was frantic, her tone urgent. "Child, you need to leave Stellara Country immediately."
This family was full of monsters. They killed the first wife, and now they wanted to
torture the young lady.
Lachlan was truly a piece of trash.
No matter what, Luella was his child.
Because of his greed, she was forced to pretend to be a boy, endure endless criticism, and now face such a horrific end.
What an animal.
"Megan, how do you know?" Luella asked slowly, fixing her tie.
"I heard Yvonne and Esme talking." Megan swallowed hard, terribly anxious. "Miss, please leave quickly."
"I already knew about this," Luella said, adjusting her tie, a wicked smile playing on her lips.
"You already knew?"
Megan was utterly shocked and deeply worried. "If that's the case, why did you come back?!"
"Before, I only wanted to seize power. But thinking about it now, that was too merciful."
Luella selected a blue tie, walked back to the sofa, and picked up her phone. "So, I've changed my mind."
"Not only will I seize power, but I'll make sure none of them get a peaceful end."
Megan gripped her phone tightly, unable to process it for a long time. She murmured shakily, "Will it be dangerous?"
"Yes."
Luella didn't hide it, her tone gentle. "But I will absolutely not die before they do."
"Miss-"
"It's okay, Megan." Luella interrupted softly. "My decision won't change. You have to believe I can achieve my goal."
"Alright."
Megan sighed helplessly. "You have to be careful, do you understand?"
"Don't worry."
Luella's lips curled into a faint smile. "The ones who need to be careful are that family."
Ending the call.
Luella changed into a sharp suit and styled her hair black again.
Following Lachlan, she stepped into the administrative building of Stellara Country.
"Executive Chief, Mr. Langley."
People along the way stepped aside, greeting them cautiously.
All eyes were on Luella.

So, was the Executive Chief gradually delegating power?
But what about the youngest son?
The rumors always said he was the favored heir.
It made no sense.
"Starting today, Luella will join the central council as my special assistant."
As soon as Lachlan finished speaking, thunderous applause erupted in the conference room.
But the applause lacked sincerity.
These top-level executives saw right through it. Bringing the eldest in to pave the way for the youngest and clear obstacles...
It looked glorious, but in reality...
What a pity.
"Please take care of me." Luella stood up, her cold gaze sweeping over everyone present.
Tsk.
A bunch of old foxes.
After exchanging pleasantries, Luella left the conference room early and found her own office.
Before she could even sit down, a
delicate-looking young woman
appeared behind her. "Hello, I am the secretary assigned to you by the
Executive Chief. You can just call me Kate." ,
"A secretary?"
Luella trailed her fingers across the desk, her gaze landing on the girl's cautious face. She smiled faintly. "More like a surveillance camera.
She really was sent to spy on Mr. Langley.
But she never expected him to call it out so bluntly.
Kate's smile froze, and she felt too guilty to meet Luella's eyes.
"It's fine. Go about your business."
Seeing her embarrassment, Luella didn't make things difficult and simply smiled.
"Yes."
Kate nodded respectfully, then obediently backed out of the office.
