Burt believed her a little more, but doubt gnawed at him. He asked, "But why would you help me? I can't offer you any political support."

She picked up her phone and dialed Juniper. “Juniper, do you have any spare change lying around?"

"How much?" Juniper was eating breakfast, putting the phone on speaker next to her.
