Chapter 1360

As she spoke, Juniper deliberately cracked her knuckles.

When normal people threatened violence, it was usually just talk.

But when Juniper Payne promised a beating, she meant it.

Most of the students had already been thoroughly "disciplined" by her in the past, so they definitely didn't dare provoke her now.

Besides, they were all nearing graduation; there was no point in making permanent enemies. Maintaining a safe distance was enough.

...

During the break.

Juniper woke up groggily from a nap to find Jenna frantically memorizing textbooks.

Jenna's lips were moving non-stop, and she was scratching her head so hard her hair looked like a bird's nest.

Looking closer, Juniper realized she was studying materials for the National Medical Innovation Challenge.

"You're entering the competition?" Juniper asked softly.

"Yeah," Jenna nodded, her tone deflated. "Winning an award in this competition will give my Ph.D. application a huge boost."

"But I signed up for the international cross-disciplinary track. The difficulty is insane, so my chances are pretty slim."

She just wanted to give it her best shot so she wouldn't have any regrets.

Juniper took the study materials, flipped through them seriously, and asked in a flat voice, "Do you need clinical data? Like special case studies?"

"I do!" Jenna's face lit up with a sliver of hope, but she quickly wilted again, sighing heavily. "The data for highly unusual cases is always locked down by the top-tier experts. They don't just hand them out to students."

Without permission, she couldn't legally use them.

And standard, everyday cases wouldn't win her any points.

She had been driving herself crazy lately trying to source a compelling medical

case.

"Got it." Juniper finished scanning the papers, snapped the folder shut, and looked Jenna straight in the eye. "Have you heard of Dr. Nocturne?"

"Huh?" Jenna froze for a few seconds before her eyes bugged out. Her lips trembled as she stuttered, "Dr. Nocturne? Who hasn't heard of her? She's an absolute god in the medical field!"

"Rumor has it she never received formal training, but her foundational knowledge and surgical skills are lightyears ahead of everyone else."

"She's pulled off incredibly high-risk surgeries that no one else has ever managed to replicate." Jenna looked confused Juniper, why are you bringing her up out of nowhere?"

"If you're interested in her case files, I can lend you her clinical data."

The moment the words left Juniper's mouth, the entire classroom plunged into dead silence.

Every single pair of eyes snapped toward her.

Did they hear that right? Who did she say she was going to borrow files from?

Dr. Nocturne?

Why didn't she just claim she was best friends with God?

The bragging was completely out of control!

"You know Dr. Nocturne?!" Jenna almost thought she was

hallucinating. She asked cautiously, "The insanely powerful, elusive Dr. Nocturne? The one they call the Grim Reaper's worst enemy?"

"Yep, that's her," Juniper nodded. "Do you need the files?"

"I—I need them!" Jenna nodded blankly, caught between belief and disbelief. "If that's actually possible, that would be amazing!"

"Are you close with her?" Jenna pressed. "Rumor has it she never shows her face. Almost no one knows where she is."

"Me and her..." Juniper paused to think, then flashed a brilliant smile. "Yeah, you could say we're pretty close. If the chance ever comes up introduce you."

fo

"Ahhhh!" Jenna slapped a hand over her mouth, unable to suppress her frantic excitement. "Really? Are you serious?! Yes, please!"

"Tch!"

Hearing their conversation, Leland Landon let out a loud, contemptuous scoff from the back.

Did Jenna actually believe that garbage?

He couldn't wait to see Juniper try and prove she actually knew the ultimate medical titan!

...

The moment the dismissal bell rang, Juniper got a text from Shanley: *[Meet you at the gates.]*

When she walked out, a multimillion-dollar black sports car was parked ostentatiously right at the main entrance.

Standing beside the door, looking devastatingly handsome in his tailored suit, the man was waiting for her, holding a small cake.
