Chapter 766

"Y-y-you..." The man stammered, stumbling back several steps when he saw her, his hand clutching the gun trembling uncontrollably. “What are you doing back here?"

Beating one of their instructors at thirteen and walking away unscathed had been a lasting disgrace for the Huntsman Institute. Their head, Ewan, had been searching for her ever since, and now, she had delivered herself right to his doorstep.

"I want to see Ewan,” Juniper said, her voice chillingly cold.

The man hesitated for a few seconds before reporting to his superiors. Soon, the main gates swung open and a swarm of bodyguards in black suits rushed out, surrounding Juniper completely.

"So, it's you."

The man in charge was Westly, one of the Huntsman Institute's senior instructors. Juniper had beaten him soundly years ago, and the decorated special forces instructor had been laid up in bed for two weeks. To save face, he had claimed it was a training injury.

"You remember me?" Juniper looked up, a mocking smile playing on her lips. "It seems that beating left a lasting impression."

"You little brat!" Westly was enraged, his handsome, mixed-race features twisting into a snarl as he aimed his gun at Juniper's head. "Do you see where you are? You think you can run wild here?"

"I wasn't supposed to run wild, but didn't I already?" Juniper stood her ground, her lips moving slowly as she spoke in a low, cold voice. "Give this to Ewan. He'll see me."

Westly took the object and saw it was a sealed letter.

"Don't even think about opening it,” Juniper reminded him lazily. "Unless you have a death wish, of course."

Seeing how composed the girl was, Westly suspected she was up to something. This was a matter for the director.

"Take it to him," he ordered, not daring to open it himself. "I want to see what tricks she has up her sleeve."

Once she was in his hands, she wouldn't be leaving alive.

Sure enough, less than ten minutes later, the subordinate returned with a message: "The director will see her."

"What?" Westly was surprised. The director never saw outsiders, so why would he agree to meet this nobody?

Juniper calmly popped a piece of candy into her mouth and walked inside under everyone's watchful eyes, as serene as ever. Along the way, at the Huntsman Institute guards stared at her terrified she might try to burn the place down again.

"Tsk," Juniper scoffed, glancing at the men around her. "The Huntsman Institute's

people are getting more and more useless."

She didn't look that intimidating, did she? To be scared like this...

Juniper was led into the main hall, where her eyes fell upon the director of the

Huntsman Institute-Ewan.

He stood on a raised platform,

looking down at the small,

delicate-looking girl before him. This

was the person who defeated

Westland burned down his school

five years ago? Seriously? Sho

looked like a stiff

breeze could knock

her over.

"Everyone else, leave," Ewan said in a deep voice, studying Juniper.

"Yes, sir." Westly didn't dare disobey. Before leaving, he shot Juniper a threat. "I won't lose to you again."

"Oh," Juniper glanced at him. His

face

the same as she

remored just as punchable. "You said the same thing fast time."

And then she'd beaten him so badly he was bedridden for half a month.
