Chapter 875
Her appearing on this show, especially if her personality turned out to be just as appealing, would be the ultimate trump card. Yolanda couldn't even compare; she wasn't even in the same league.
"Willow." Willow extended her hand, carefully observing Juniper as she greeted her. Straightforward, not pretentious or fake. She liked her already.
“Jiana,” Jiana said, introducing herself as well.
After the simple introductions, only Yolanda remained, silent and unresponsive. The camera was aimed directly at her.
["Hahaha, Yolanda is completely dumbfounded."]
[“Where's all that smooth-talking energy from before?”]
["Give me more of these cringey moments. I love to see it."]
["Yolanda's frozen. The whole room is staring at her."]
"Yolanda—” Seeing her staring at the floor, completely oblivious to the camera, Yates prompted her.
“Huh?” Yolanda's head snapped up, her eyes meeting Juniper's icy gaze. Her breath hitched, and for a moment, she couldn't breathe. Even when Juniper said nothing, her eyes, sharp as knives, were enough to send shivers down one's spine. Especially since Yolanda had been on the receiving end of her wrath more than once. Just facing her made her heart pound with fear.
"You..." Seeing everyone waiting for her and noticing the director's impatient expression, Yolanda clenched her fists. Forcing down her anxiety, she managed to croak out, "Hello, my name is Yolanda."
"Oh? I didn't recognize you." Juniper hadn't planned on responding, but this was Miranda's show, and she didn't want to disrupt it. She acknowledged her verbally but didn't even spare her a glance.
The other guests exchanged confused looks. The rumors about their bad relationship seemed to be true.
"Ms. Sherwin mentioned her skin wasn't doing well, so she's wearing heavy makeup. It's normal not to
recognize her," Willow chimed in net
unexpectedly. "And Ms. Sherwin has a great personality; I'm sure she wont hold it against you." She then turned to Yolanda, beating her at her own passive-aggressive game. "Right, Yolanda?”
Yolanda was left speechless by Willow's comment. She wanted to lash out, but with the cameras rolling, she had to restrain herself She could only force a smile and pretend to be magnanimous of course not."
“?” Juniper tilted her head and looked at Willow, her clear, star-like eyes narrowing slightly. This girl certainly had a way with words.
"Want some candy?" Juniper pulled a piece from her pocket and offered it to Willow.
"Thanks." Willow took it and glanced at the flavor, a little surprised. "I thought you didn't like mangoes?"
"Hmm?" Juniper put her hand back in her pocket, answering earnestly, "Oh, I didn't used to. But now I do."
Yates: "???"
[“Hahaha, Juniper is giving off major 'stay away, boys' vibes."]
["Yates looks so salty. That was embarrassing."]
["He was trying to flirt with Juniper, but she's more of a man than he is."]
[“So, is it true that Juniper's taken?"]
["Confirmed-source is an insider."]
"Come on Juniper." Jimmie shook his head, a mix of helplessness and affection in his voice as he spoke softly. If he fet her keep going the show would spiral out of control.
"Fine." With her hands in her pockets, Juniper sauntered past the guests. Her don't- give-a-damn swagger and lazy attitude made her look like a mob boss.
The other guests were once again dumbfounded, their minds reeling. This was supposed to be a heartwarming show, beautiful. You're acting like you're here to collect a debt.
