"J-Juniper..."
Right as Yolanda was getting entirely carried away, the girl next to her trembled and stuttered out a name.
Yolanda's tirade came to an abrupt halt. She slowly turned her head and found Juniper leaning against the wall, hands casually tucked into her pockets, fixing her with an icy, ghost-like stare.
"Even if I wasn't an A-list actor's sister, and even if I hadn't hooked up with Shanley Schwartz, I could still step all over you."
"Um..." The female student was terrified by the dark look in Juniper's eyes. She stumbled backward, her voice shaking as she babbled, "I didn't say anything, I didn't hear anything, I'm leaving now!"
With that, the girl vanished without a trace.
Yolanda tried to leave, but with Juniper blocking her path, she was trapped.
"What do you want?" Yolanda stretched her neck, trying to look tough. "Do you seriously think Shanley will love you forever? One day, he's going to—"
*Smack-*
Before Yolanda could finish her sentence, a vicious slap landed squarely on her right cheek. Juniper hit her with such force that Yolanda, playing the fragile innocent flower, couldn't handle it at all. Her body violently staggered, and she was dazed for several seconds before she finally regained her senses.
"Juniper, what the hell are you doing?!" The moment Yolanda stabilized, she immediately lunged, trying to tear into Juniper like a wild animal.
In the next second, Juniper grabbed her by the throat. With a slight push, she effortlessly shoved Yolanda against the guardrail, lifting her off her feet.
She was suspended in the air.
"Ah—" Yolanda glanced behind her. They were on the ninth floor. If she fell, she would undoubtedly be smashed to pieces. She wanted to scream, to call for help, but with her throat crushed in Juniper's grip, she couldn't make a single sound.
"You're the one who leaked those photos online, aren't you?" Juniper held Yolanda by the neck with her right hand, her left still casually tucked in her pocket. Her posture was completely relaxed, as if manhandling Yolanda was as effortless as holding a weak little chicken.
Yolanda's eyelashes fluttered frantically, her panic overwhelmingly evident.
"Yolanda, I ignored a lot of things. Not because I didn't know about them,"uniper said slowly completely indifferent to her terror. "But because I couldn't be bothered to waste my time dealing with trash like you."
She could have made so much money in the time she spent dealing with this.
"You really have a lot of nerve, challenging my bottom line over and over again. Do you really think you have the right to touch my brother? Do you think you're even worthy of mentioning Shanley's name?"
Juniper's eyes grew profoundly cold. "Yolanda, did you actually think I wouldn't kill you?"
Forced to meet Juniper's gaze, Yolanda was terrified by the pure ruthlessness in her eyes.
Kill her? She didn't look like she was joking at all. Besides, with Shanley backing her up, making someone disappear would be absurdly easy.
"I'm sorry!" Yolanda struggled to breathe, thrashing wildly as she desperately begged for mercy. "Please, for Grandpa's sake, spare me this one time!"
"Ah-"
Another violent shake left her body practically dangling over the edge, teetering on
the brink of falling. Terrified, Yolanda sobbed uncontrollably, tears streaming down her face.
"I did promise Grandpa that I
wouldn't hold a grudge, that I'd spare your family of three," Juniper said cofelly, completely unmoved by her pathetic display. "But I can easily make you wish you were dead."
Wish she was dead? The sheer horror in Yolanda's eyes intensified. Just as she was trying to
comprehend how Juniper planned to do that the crushing grip on her neck
Suddenly vanished, and she
was dropped onto the floor like a
piece of garbage.
Juniper gave her one last, profound look, clapped her hands together, and turned to leave.
"Cough, cough, cough..." Watching Juniper's retreating back, it took Yolanda a long time to catch her breath.
Wish she was dead? She would like to see exactly what Juniper dared to do to her!
