"Pregnant?"

Everyone stared at Melvin, the air practically humming with bloodlust.

"Are you saying Juniper is pregnant?!" Ebony Fox was the first to react. She sprang up from her chair, drawing her gun and racking the slide in one fluid, terrifying motion.

The rest of the siblings looked equally ready to commit murder. Yes, they had accepted Shanley dating her, but their parents were still missing, and the family wasn't fully reunited yet.

More importantly, Juniper was only nineteen and still in college.

Jimmie sat motionless in his chair, his expression dark and stormy.

It couldn't be true, could it? Shanley might be a beast in the boardroom, but he had

a bottom line. Besides, he adored Juniper too much to put her in that position so young.

"Mr. Schwartz and Ms. Payne are here," a waiter announced from the door, causing the tension in the room to snap tight.
