Chapter 1138
Juliana pulled out of her driveway, heading off to meet Sandy.
Sandy's place in Riverdale? That was all thanks to Juliana, who'd found the rental and handled the paperwork. Sandy had shown up on her doorstep in tears, broke and tossed out by her in-laws, not a dime to her name. Juliana didn't even hesitate -her sympathy kicked in, and she threw herself into helping. She found Sandy a place, handed her ten grand, and told her to use it for whatever she needed.
Juliana was the type of woman who couldn't hide her feelings if she tried. Jealousy, kindness, annoyance-you'd see it written all over her face. Even if you tossed her a knife, she couldn't hurt a fly. She was smart enough, but just never quite sharp. The kind of person who always seemed a little too easy to take advantage of.
They met at a little tea shop, just like they'd arranged.
Sandy had ordered two pieces of cake, a cup of coffee, and a plate of fruit, making the most of Riverdale's nighttime glow.
"Sandia!" Juliana called out, her face lighting up as she spotted Sandy.
After hanging out for a while, Juliana had started to see Sandy as a real friend. With Sandy, Juliana still clung to that sense of superiority she'd lost everywhere else—in the world of wealthy wives, she was a nobody, and in the Stranz family, even less. But with Sandy, she could be generous-finding her a place to live, handing her spending money.
For once, Juliana felt like she mattered.
"Juliana, I got you a latte," Sandy said, smiling. "Half a packet of sugar, just how you like it."
Sandy knew Juliana's preferences inside and out.
“You're the best,” Juliana said, genuinely touched by the gesture, not even realizing she was being treated with her own money.
Sandy didn't mind spending Juliana's cash to buy her coffee.
"So, what's your plan now? Want me to help you find a job?" Juliana asked, full of enthusiasm. "Didn't you say you speak Japanese? How about translation work? My husband's company needs people. I could put in a good word. You could also keep an eye on him for me—if there's any pretty girls hanging around, you let me know."
Juliana never could keep her thoughts to herself. She laid it all out, clear as day, never holding back. She really didn't see Sandy as an outsider.
Sandy put on a worried look. "Are you sure? If my in-laws find out I'm working, it could be trouble..."
The truth was, Sandy was more worried about her identity. She'd told Juliana her name was Sandia, but if she ever had to show her ID, the truth would come out.
Juliana paused, thinking it over. "You've got a point..."
Seeing that Juliana was stuck, Sandy nudged her gently. "Or, maybe I could just get
a new ID? There are people downtown who do fake ones."
"That's perfect!" Juliana said, lighting
up. "I'll get you a fake ID. Sandia, you're a genius! I'll handle it tomorrow, then tell my husband. You just show up at the secretarial department, and remember keep an eye on him for me." .net
Juliana trusted Sandy completely. In her mind, Sandy was totally safe-she'd been married, couldn't have kids, and there was no way her husband would ever look at her twice.
"Of course. You've done so much for me, I'll definitely help you," Sandy replied, squeezing Juliana's hand with a warm smile. Inside, she couldn't help but roll her eyes-Juliana was just too naïve to be taken seriously.
"Juliana, can be real with you?" Sandy's voice softened. "You're so worried about your husband going outside to have a kid with someone else, but honestly, you'd be better off finding a woman yourself that way, you could raise the child and

your spot as the Stranz family's lady. If you wait for him to make his own move, you'll be too late."
"You want me to find another woman for my husband?” Juliana recoiled, horrified.
"No way! I will never share my man."
Sandy cursed Juliana's stupidity in her heart.
How was she supposed to keep her place without a child? How did she expect to keep her husband tied to her?
Sandy pushed a little more. "Juliana, your situation is pretty obvious. Isn't your mother-in-law already trying to set him up? Maybe he's holding back now, but he won't forever Are you two even still together? Be realistic. If you can't get his love, at least grab the money and the status."
“My mother-in-law is always trying to find him someone,” Juliana admitted, her frustration obvious. "But me, helping him find another woman? I just can't. It makes
me sick. My husband is mine. He can't touch anyone else."
Sandy rolled her eyes as she sipped her coffee. She hadn't realized just how hopelessly romantic Juliana actually was.
