Chapter 120:

Luckily, she wasn’t pregnant.

Throughout her entire life of knowing Damon, Rosa never thought he could be so easily fooled. She couldn’t believe he would actually believe her pregnancy without ever accompanying her to an antenatal scan. It made her plan come to life—fake the pregnancy, then fake a miscarriage. Everything had been going smoothly… except for Aurora’s presence.

That bitch had to go.

Her days were numbered.

Rosa felt like a fool when she remembered her uncle’s words. Perhaps he had been right all along.

Aurora couldn’t be trusted. The way she managed to capture Damon’s attention was highly questionable. Rosa had tried for years, but she had never succeeded. Damon’s heart had been cold as stone after the death of his mate. But how was it that Aurora could press all the right buttons so perfectly? No. She wouldn’t let all her hard work go to waste.

She would kill Aurora with her own hands, and then Damon would be hers forever.

If that made her a psycho, then so be it.

A knock on the door broke her from her thoughts, and she quickly adjusted the bump on her belly.

“Come in,” she said coldly.

A sigh of relief washed over her when she saw it was her handmaid, her most trusted servant.

“Good afternoon, ma’am,” the woman greeted, bowing briefly.

It was already afternoon?

Rosa ignored her maid’s greeting, knowing it wouldn’t solve anything.

“Any news?” she asked desperately, hungry for the next words from her servant.

“It’s just a fever,” the maid replied, her voice lowering as she saw Rosa’s face darken with a frown.

“Are you sure the doctor knows what she’s talking about?” Rosa asked, her doubt evident.

“Yes, ma’am. She ran the tests three times.”

Rosa exhaled heavily as her mind began to race. What kind of bad news was this?

She had decided to take a pregnancy test after noticing changes in her body, a delayed period, and morning sickness. She had been elated, thinking that she no longer needed to deceive Damon—he would be hers forever.

But it turned out to be just a damn fever?!

What kind of cruel joke was the moon goddess playing on her?

The maid continued, “She said that while the symptoms were related to pregnancy, it was actually just a result of stress. It wasn’t morning sickness—it was just you feeling feverish. She prescribed some medication that should help you feel better and boost your fertility. She also mentioned that you should come in for another test when you’re less busy.”

Rosa took the bag of medication the maid handed her, her expression darkening.
