Chapter 355
Chapter 355:
“Careful,” I muttered, massaging the throbbing spot on my head before glancing back.
The clicking sounds from the trunk told me that some of the gifts my mother had given me might break. I hadn’t even recovered from the shock when the car hit three obstacles on the road.
“What’s going on?!” I shouted angrily, pressing my hand to my head, which was already aching. “Can’t you drive properly? Are you asleep?”
“I’m sorry, ma’am,” the driver replied, his eyes still fixed on the road. “I’m not sleepy. I don’t know what’s happening.”
Just as I was about to adjust myself, the road was suddenly filled with heavy rocks. “I’m trying to maneuver my way through them,” he said apologetically.
“Be careful,” I warned him. “My mother spent days preparing those gifts, and I can’t afford to ruin them.”
Before I could relax into the chair, the car screeched loudly as the brakes were applied, making the vehicle stop suddenly. My head hit the door, and before I could recover, gunshots rang out in the air.
I didn’t have enough time to think or hide before a pair of rough hands grabbed me, dragging me away without a single word.
My screams echoed as I struggled to free myself, but a heavy blow from the man knocked me out.
My ears rang from the impact, and I felt as weak as a lily. My body relaxed, lifeless, and I couldn’t move a muscle. The last thing I saw was a bullet fired into the driver’s shoulder. Tears slid down my cheeks as I watched his body hit the ground in an instant.
“No,” I cried, trying to scream, but my voice failed me. It felt as if an invisible force stole my voice and drained my strength, leaving me completely lifeless.
It didn’t take long before I succumbed to the darkness.

Three deafening claps pulled me from the haze of sleep.
Slowly, I became aware of my surroundings.
I was about to stretch from the dull ache in my back when I realized that I was stuck.
My eyes snapped open, panic flooding through me as I fully processed the situation. Horror swept over me when I saw thick brown ropes binding me to a sitting position.
It was incredibly uncomfortable, and I feared I might pass out again.
How did I get here? Who tied me up?
A whirlwind of questions spun in my head, each one making me tremble in fear.
I had been kidnapped! Goddess!
Many terrifying thoughts filled my mind. Despite not knowing exactly how to react, I knew there were only two possible outcomes for a kidnapped person: freedom or death.
I silently prayed for the former, but I knew it was almost impossible unless luck was on my side.
Aside from the driver who had been shot, no one knew where I was. Tears began to pour down my face as I thought of my parents.
They thought I was already with my mates, unaware that I was in grave danger.
And Damon? He would believe I broke my promise and fled when the opportunity arose.
