Chapter 92:

Rosa.

How dare she make him wait?

An electric surge of anger coursed up his spine, and, driven by rage, he kicked a sculpture across the room. It shattered on the floor, but he ignored the pain pulsing through his bleeding foot. Nothing mattered to him.

The sound of footsteps outside the room quickened his movements. He rushed to the door, flinging it open with force and pulling the figure inside before slamming it shut with a loud bang that echoed through the room. Sand fell from the walls as the vibrations shook the air.

Without hesitation, Silas grabbed the figure by the collar, his claws digging into the fabric, and slammed them both against the wall. His breath came in sharp, ragged gasps.

“How dare you?!” Silas growled, slamming Rosa against the wall once more.

The impact of his growls made Rosa whimper, instinctively seeking refuge against the wall that pinned her in place. Silas’ eyes darkened, filled with raw rage, as he glared at her, as if he were about to consume her.

Rosa knew better than to question him. Her mouth remained sealed as she sniffed back her tears, too frightened to do anything that might worsen his anger.

“You kept me waiting for hours? Who do you think you are?!” His voice thundered again, reverberating through the room, making her jump in fear. “You better stay still, like you do when he fucks you!” Silas hissed, irritation lacing his every word.

“Good-for-nothing worthless bitch!” he spat before smacking her hard across the face, leaving his handprint visible on her skin.

Rosa bit down on her bottom lip to stifle a scream, her ears ringing painfully. She quickly wiped away the tears from her eyes, refusing to let them fall as the sting from the slap burned on her cheeks. Sadness enveloped her, settling over her like a heavy blanket, and she could feel the corners of her mouth twitch as she swallowed the bile rising in her throat.

Trying to steady her nerves, she cleared her throat softly, making sure her voice would remain steady despite the pain in her chest.

“Uncle…” Her voice trembled, her gaze fixed on him, silently watching for any shift in his demeanor.

“Don’t ‘uncle’ me if all you do is disappoint me,” he flared, stepping away from her and staring at the wall.

“Your task was simple,” he began, his tone cold, “Get close to him, seduce him, make him yours, and get him to make you his Luna.”

“But that is what I’m doing. These things take time, Uncle. I can’t force him. You know how difficult Damon can be,” she protested, heaving a weary sigh.

Before she could say anything else, Silas’ large hands wrapped around her throat, cutting off her words.

“Don’t you dare interrupt me!” he warned, his voice dark with fury as he emphasized each word.

Rosa’s eyes fluttered shut, and a sharp pain seared through her as his claws dug deeply into her neck, the blood from her wound staining his fingers.

“Sorry,” she muttered weakly as he released her, and she gasped for breath, rubbing her bruised neck.
