Chapter 884

The Perfect Wife's Perfect Revenge · NovelDrama.Org

The regular chefs had been given a few days off. Hawthorne had poured over nutritional guides online and consulted dietitians, custom-tailoring a daily menu specifically for her pregnancy and constantly switching up the recipes to keep her happy.

In just a few days, Gwyneth had been nourished to absolute perfection. She was noticeably curvier, with a soft, radiant glow to her cheeks.

The bracelet on her left wrist was practically stuck. Yet, Hawthorne showed no signs

of slowing down his feeding schedule. Occasionally, he would gently pinch her cheek, claiming she was still too thin to handle the baby.

The couple's life right now was incredibly peaceful and blissful. Hawthorne practically spent his days rotating around the kitchen to make her meals.

Gwyneth's belly had grown considerably, and her feet were slightly swollen, but Hawthorne had hired a professional masseuse to come in for two hours every day to keep her circulation flowing.

Mr. and Mrs. Everhart would drop by in their free time to chat and keep Gwyneth company.

Whenever she saw Hawthorne in the kitchen cooking for Gwyneth, Mrs. Everhart couldn't hide her utter shock.

"We thought this boy would never find a wife. We always assumed he was just too clueless to know how to spoil a woman. Who would've thought that the moment he met you, he'd turn into the perfect husband?"

Mrs. Everhart was the most surprised. At first, she thought her own husband was the gold standard. As his sister-in-law, she had always fretted over Hawthorne like a mother, deeply stressed that he remained a bachelor for so long.

Hawthorne's age ticked up year by year. His peers already had two or three kids, yet he didn't even have a prospect. Mrs. Everhart had even considered having her husband stage an intervention.

She used to think he lacked the romantic gene entirely. Some guys were so clueless they had to take dating classes. Now, she realized she had a model husband right in the family who could probably teach a masterclass on how to love and spoil a wife.

"Does Hawthorne cook for you every day?"

Right after asking, Mrs. Everhart felt it was redundant. It was painfully obvious that he did.

Gwyneth's face radiated bliss. At this moment, there was likely no one happier in the world than her.

"Yes, he thinks the chefs aren't

attentive enough and worries the food won't suit my cravings. He gets up early every morning to personally pick out fresh ingredients at the market. He spends hours on it."

Mrs. Everhart beamed at Gwyneth. "Seeing you like this puts my mind at ease. Just

look at how beautifully he's taking care of you.

"With you being pregnant, whenever

you need company, just let me know and I'll send Leonie over. I don't

know what's going on with that girl lately, but she's completely out of it. I talk to her, her mind is

Every tim

somewhere else."

Speaking of Leonie, Mrs. Everhart suddenly remembered. "Wasn't she over here with you? Where did she go?"

Gwyneth replied, "I noticed she was in a bad mood the past few days, so I told her

to take Chris and Celia out to explore.

"Those two are always cooped up in Starfall City and rarely get out. I figured it was a good chance for them to experience the vibe here. Greenvale's scenery is completely different from Starfall City

"Greenvale is a very livable city. It doesn't have the chaotic, fast-paced rhythm of Starfall. People just seem to live longer, happier lives here."

Gwyneth smiled warmly. Mrs. Everhart asked, "So, have you agreed to settle down in Greenvale with Hawthorne after the wedding?"

Gwyneth hadn't actually thought that far ahead. The sudden question caught her completely off guard.

Originally, she had only planned to travel to Greenvale to relax and escape the drama of Starfall City. But meeting Hawthorne had changed everything about her.
