Chapter 887
Dorian looked impeccably refined. The server uniform felt entirely out of place on him; he looked more like a gentleman straight out of a romance novel.
Celia glanced over at Connor's table. She noticed his eyes drifting their way occasionally, though he was trying to hide it.
Celia said casually, "Whenever you get off work, you should come grab a drink with us."
Leonie couldn't help but stare at Celia. She kept trying to set her up with this server, but catching Celia's glance toward Connor, Leonie instantly understood.
She wanted to use this waiter to provoke Connor. It felt a bit childish, but considering how terribly Connor had treated her lately, it was undeniably satisfying.
Even though this waiter's status was worlds apart from Connor's, she wasn't actually taking it seriously. It was just a harmless distraction—a way to prove to Connor that he wasn't her only option.
She didn't need to chase after him forever.
"I'm sorry, my shift isn't over yet. And even if it was, company policy says I can't drink on the job. But if you want to hang out, I can take you somewhere else when I'm done."
Leonie quickly waved her hands, saying it was fine, assuming Dorian was just being polite. But Celia refused to back down because she absolutely loathed the way Connor was acting.
If he really didn't like Leonie, why did he keep sneaking glances at them? And if he did like her, why was he torturing her?
Celia felt that if she didn't teach Connor a lesson, he'd never learn how to cherish a woman.
"Sure, when do you get off? We'll wait."
Celia typed out a quick message to Leonie on her phone.
"Connor and his friends are all here. Don't let them think you don't have suitors. This server is gorgeous-using him as a shield is a power move.
"Trust me, that guy just needs a reality check. Leave it to me. Give it three days, and he'll be crawling back to you."
Leonie read the text, not knowing whether to laugh or cry. For someone so young, Celia's tactics were brutally calculated.
"Stop it. You've never even been in a relationship. Where did you even learn this stuff?"
Leonie typed her reply quickly, but her eyes remained fixed on Dorian.
"I'll get back to work then, and find you guys later."
Celia looked at Dorian and asked one more question, "Do you have a car?"
Dorian thought for a moment. "No."
Celia smiled faintly. "Perfect, we do. Come with us when you're done. You pick the spot for round two."
He didn't hesitate this time. After setting down their drinks, he turned and walked away.
Celia leaned in and whispered in Leonie's ear, "I might not have dated, but my friends have I've watched exactly how they wrap men around their fingers.
"There are so many tactics. We just test them out one by one. If we burn through all of them and Connor still doesn't react, the you cut your
losses because it means he really doesn't care.

Leonie, just trust me on this
Sitting right next to them, Chris couldn't help but overhear. He took a slow sip of his drink.
"Could you two be any more ridiculous? It's dating, not an espionage thriller."
Celia scoffed. "So what if we scheme? You don't know anything! You're just a clueless guy who's never even dated."
