Chapter 892

Dorian placed Leonie onto the seat behind him on the motorcycle. She was completely wasted, far more intoxicated than she had been at the previous bar.

Dorian guided her arms around his waist and drove extremely carefully, terrified she might slip off the bike.

Thankfully, his place wasn't far. It didn't take them long to arrive at a charming two- story townhouse. It wasn't massive, but it was more than spacious enough to host three guests for the night.

Leonie was already dead to the world. Dorian simply picked her up and carried her upstairs.

Chris and Celia followed closely behind, their eyes filled with suspicion.

"Where are you taking her?"

Dorian offered a small smile.

"If I wanted to do anything to her, I would have done it already. Look at her state. Relax, I'm not a creep. You two pick whichever rooms you like; I'll put her in this one.

If you want to sleep in the same room as her, that's fine too. My room is right next door. Call me if you need anything."

When they had first arrived, Chris had thoroughly inspected the upper and lower floors. The neighborhood seemed upscale and safe, completely unlike some sketchy hideout, so he felt comfortable enough to pick a clean guest room.

To be safe, Celia naturally chose to share the room with Leonie.

Leonie hit the mattress and was instantly asleep. Celia turned her gaze to Dorian.

"Is this your house?"

Dorian shook his head.

"It belongs to my sister. She lives abroad and rarely comes back, so she lets me stay here. Don't worry, no one will bother you.

The neighborhood's security is top-notch. There are guards at the gate and twenty- four-hour surveillance. This isn't some criminal den, I promise."

Anticipating Celia's concerns, Dorian laid everything out clearly.

Celia didn't feel embarrassed for asking. They barely knew him, and following a stranger home was risky enough as it was; asking for clarification was only logical.

Satisfied that everything was fine, Chris, Celia, and Leonie settled in for a peaceful night. Dorian returned to his room, leaving the curtains slightly parted and a single hallway light on.

Living alone, he had no butler or maids. He usually just hired someone to clean regularly and stayed here whenever he had the time.

Once all the lights were out, Dorian lifted the corner of his curtain. In the distance, parked down the street, he could faintly make out the silhouette of a yellow sports car. A tiny ember of a cigarette flared and faded in the night breeze.

He didn't even have to guess; it was obviously the man Leonie had feelings for. Dorian smirked softly and let the curtain fall shut.

Connor sat in his car until the first light of dawn crested the horizon, jolting awake from a restless sleep.

He had waited for Leonie all night. He didn't know how long he had been sitting there before he had finally dozed off.

Dorian's motorcycle was still parked in the driveway, and the front door showed no signs of opening. Connor

gine,

slammed his fist against the steering wheel gunned the and sped off in a binding rage.

Leonie slept well into the afternoon. When she finally jolted awake, she found nearly thirty missed calls on her phone. Twenty were from Connor and the other eight were from Mr. and Mrs. Everhart

Staring at Connor's name on the screen, Leonie paused for a moment before a wave of immense satisfaction washed over her.

When he was insulting and yelling at her before, did he ever think this day would come?

Chris and Celia were still asleep. Finding Celia in the bed next to her gave Leonie a mild surge of surprise.

She had half-expected Dorian to take advantage of the situation, but he had been a total gentleman, giving up the bed for Celia. It seemed he really wasn't a bad guy.

But given the circumstances last night, if Dorian really had slept with her, she wouldn't have had any right to complain. They were all consenting adults, and she had willingly gone home with him.

Feeling parched, Leonie stumbled downstairs to the kitchen for some water, only to be hit by a mouthwatering aroma.

Dorian was standing at the stove, dressed in a cream-colored sweater and matching sweatpants, casually wearing house slippers. He held a spatula, skillfully flipping something in the pan.

As her shadow stretched across the floor, Dorian didn't even need to turn around to know Leonie was awake.

"Go take a seat at the dining table. Breakfast is almost ready. I didn't know what you all liked, so I made both a traditional spread and a Western one.

Pick whatever you want. Don't worry if you can't finish it; I have a dog, so whatever's left can go to Lucky."
