The Amazing son in law Chapter 1110
Hannah quickly inquired with a sweet tone, “Mom, why do you need eggs and flour?”
Lady Wilson replied, “I’m planning to make eggs and chives dumplings for dinner!”
Harold let out a surprised shout, “Grandma, are we really having dumplings tonight?”
“Yes!” Lady Wilson exclaimed, her smile wide, “Do you enjoy chives and eggs?”
Harold chuckled, “Absolutely! I adore them! It’s been ages since I last had eggs and chives dumplings. I’m practically drooling just thinking about it!”
Christopher joined in with a smile, asking, “Mom, why the sudden craving for eggs and chives dumplings? It’s been a while since you made them.”
Lady Wilson laughed joyfully, saying, “I’m just so happy today! So happy that I feel like I could eat my weight in eggs and chives dumplings!”
“That’s fantastic!” Christopher sighed in relief, “I haven’t had dumplings in forever; I can finally satisfy my cravings!”
Hannah then asked, “Mom, besides eggs and flour, do I need to get some chives?”
Lady Wilson beamed with pride, “Charlie bought a bunch of fresh chives this afternoon and planted them in his yard. I’ll go over and grab some later!”
Christopher encouraged, “Mom, make sure to get a bit more! We can also make pork and chive dumplings!”
Wendy added, “And we could bake pies with chive filling too!”
“Alright, alright!” Lady Wilson chuckled. “I’ll make sure to get more!”
At around 5 PM, Lady Wilson stepped out of the house with a knife in hand.
She placed the knife in a bamboo basket and eagerly made her way to Charlie’s house.
Standing outside the fence for a moment, she cautiously glanced around. Once she spotted no one in the yard, she swiftly pulled out the knife, reached over the fence, and snipped off a handful of the coveted chives.
After cutting the first handful, she quickly reached over and snipped another, followed by yet another. Glancing at the basket, she initially thought it was enough for the five of them. However, realizing how rare it was to find such fresh chives, she decided to gather more.
Ultimately, she collected six handfuls of chives, enough that they couldn’t all fit into the basket.
Smirking at her successful endeavor, Lady Wilson hurriedly turned and made her way back home.
At that moment, just as the sun was setting, Elaine limped towards her balcony with the help of her cane to enjoy the sunset.
The doctor had advised her to soak up more sunlight for vitamin D to aid in her leg’s recovery.
While on the balcony, she spotted Lady Wilson at the fence, once again pilfering vegetables. Upset, she stomped her feet and shouted, “Hey, you old hag! You’ve already stolen enough vegetables from my house this morning, and yet you dare to come back! Do you have no shame?”
Lady Wilson turned to see Elaine hopping and cursing like a furious shrew. She retorted, “And what of it? You’re my daughter-in-law, you ungrateful wretch! I only took a tiny bit of your vegetables; how dare you scold me?”
Elaine snapped back, “Who the hell is your daughter-in-law, you shameless old crone! If you steal from me again, I’ll break your leg!”
Lady Wilson spat back with disdain, “Fix your legs first before you get sassy with me, you limping fool! How dare you yell at me while you’re still limping around with that silly cane! I swear, the next time I see you, I’ll break your leg again!”
Her words ignited Elaine’s fury!
Lady Wilson was the one responsible for Elaine’s broken leg in the detention center, and that grudge would never fade.
Fuming at the sight of Lady Wilson stealing vegetables once more and mocking her injury, Elaine shouted, “Go ahead and take it, you wretched old hag! One day, you’ll pay for that foul mouth of yours!” Follow current novᴇls on
Lady Wilson scoffed, “Let me tell you something, Elaine, I will live for a long time, outlasting you even after you’ve died a hundred times! Just wait and see who goes first!”
