“It’s Wendy Chadwick.”

What’s going on with you?” Her question seemed to lower the temperature in the room, a coldness settling in despite the warm sunlight outside.
“I mean no harm this time,” Wendy said, her voice strained as she clenched her teeth. “I am here to apologize for my behavior yesterday.”
Both Janice and Aiden, fully aware of yesterday’s confrontation, were taken aback by Wendy’s statement. They vividly recalled Wendy’s spiteful demeanor just a day prior. Now, it seemed as if she had changed completely overnight, presenting herself as almost unrecognizable.
