Chapter 125

Alpha’s Regret: My Rejected Mate Is A Healer · NovelDrama.Org

Sebastian had managed to fight through the warriors on him, leaving Scottie injured and some others dead.

One look at the war and she could tell they were evening out on the battlefield. There was only one thing to do now.

Something inside Ella snapped.

She turned, her murderous gaze locking onto Sebastian’s.

He growled, as if beckoning her.

With a deafening roar, she transformed into Lila, but this time Lila moved with a blinding light enveloped around her massive form.

She had tripled in size.

She possessed the speed of an ancient vampire and the strength of a powerful warrior Alpha.

Nothing like anyone had ever seen.

Even Sebastian was momentarily taken aback at her transformation.

Her eyes were of two colors-crimson and Silver.

She launched herself at Sebastian. The ground shook in her wake.

Her claws glowed and her wild Lila had the force of the Moon Goddess herself surging through her.

Warriors gave way in fear as she approached.

Sebastian swung at her but she was way faster. She dodged the blow and moved like an ethereal being, with one final strike.

She drove her claws into his monstrous heart.

Sebastian let out a strangled guttural cry, his form weakened and Ella used the opportunity to reach for his large head, severing it from his body.

His head was in her hands, his body in a crumpled mess.

His warriors, seeing their leader down, began to flee but Dorian and Kael chased after them.

There would be no survivors to plan a revolt. That was the command and they would see to it. The cost of the battle was high.

Ella, now in human form, fell to her knees, her breath shaky, her hands covered in blood.

The sky cleared above, the moon cast its light on the battlefield, showing the broken bodies of warriors, allies and family. Valen, who had been injured slightly from his battle with Kevin, placed his uninjured hand on her shoulder.

Ella looked at him, “You’re injured,”

“It’s the dagger, it had wolfsbane poison. It’s merely a scratch so it’s not gonna kill me but it’ll take more time to heal. I’ll be fine.” Valen assured her.

Ella was taking no chances, she immediately placed her hand over his injured hand and a bright light surged through her hands.

She healed the wound.

“I can still feel the strong surge of energy,” Ella said, glancing at the injured warriors. “I think it’s best we move those who survived but sustained injuries to me. Let me try to heal them.” Ella said.

“What about the baby? I heard…” Valen caught himself.

Ella hesitated, swallowing hard and trying to hold back the tears threatening to fall as her mind went back to Derek’s sacrifice and insistence on not being healed.

He wanted her to save her strength for others and the casualties that would proceed from the war.

The poison was too strong and had enveloped his heart. If she had tried healing him, she would be drained.

She smiled weakly as she blinked back the tears. “The Moon Goddess will protect the child, she didn’t give me this amount of power to let these ones die while I can heal them. Bring them to me.” Ella said.

Those that could walk came to her and others carried members of the troop who were injured to her.

Ella healed them one by one.

Ella healed the warriors till sunset.

She had refused to stop, refused to take a break. She needed the distraction.

She wanted something-anything-that would take her mind off the guilt that Derek had died in her hands when she could have saved him.

And healing the troops was the right distraction she needed. It was the only thing keeping her from breaking.

She was grateful Scottie, Dorian, Valen and many others were saved. Though Morgana and many others died, but at least the casualties were not as bad as in the nightmares that had haunted her.

Valen stood at a distance watching her. His heart bled seeing her wear herself down like this but there was nothing he could do. He understood she needed to mourn Derek in her own way.

His death had shook the Werewolves.

His beta, Alex, carried his body because he needed to be buried on werewolf soil.

As he was lost in thought, Kael’s voice brought him back to reality.

“Which family does she belong to?”

Valen was taken aback by the abrupt question, he followed Kael’s gaze and saw the way he stared at Ella.

He wanted to question Kael but something snapped in his mind.

He turned and glanced at Kael again.

Now that he thought about it…

There’s a resemblance, a slight familiarity between him and Ella.

Could he be her brother?

Valen turned instead, his gaze returning to Ella as he questioned Kael.

“Why do you ask?”

Kael let out a smile. “Because she reminds me a lot of someone dear to me” His voice was thick with emotion.

He sighed, his voice bitter as he continued. “I don’t want to assume anything…I have been on a wild chase for a long time, still no result”

“You’re searching for someone?” Valen asked, his gaze still on Ella as she was crunched on the ground, her legs drawn together to her chest, her chin resting on her knees, her shoulders sagged with exhaustion.

Kael exhaled. “Yes. My younger sister. I lost her when we were still little and she was just a baby during a war in our pack.”

Valen’s heart skipped.

This might be some good news to Ella. Valen thought.

“You suspect Ella is your sister?” Valen asked.

“I have several reasons to believe so.”

Valen finally decided to turn and face him, his brows furrowed. “And what are they?”

“The pendant on her neck is identical to mine” Kael said, pulling out a pendant he had always kept hidden, it was given to them by their parents just before the start of the war.

Valen’s gaze dropped to the pendant in Kael’s hands.

“And not just that,” Kael continued. “It’s rare to see a silver wolf, they are mostly from my lineage, and if she’s my sister, she should have a mark on her thigh.”

He smiled as he looked up at Ella again. “And last of all, she reminds me so much of my mother.”

Silence fell between them.

Valen remembered seeing a mark on Ella’s thigh the time she had come out of the bathroom with a short towel and also when she drugged them.

Valen’s heart pounded.

But there’s only one way to find out if both of them were siblings.

“She had been searching for her family” Valen finally broke the silence.

Kael’s eyes widened in disbelief and hope. “Are you serious?”

Valen exhaled, “I think you should go speak to her, this could be what she needs at this time…”

Kael bolted before Valen could finish.

Valen shook his head as his lips curved into a smile.

Ella looked up to see someone running towards her, she was prepared to attack when she saw it was Alpha Kael.

Alpha Kael fell before her gasping for air.

“Ella…your pendant” he said pointing at her pendant as he withdrew his.

Ella stared at the pendant in Kael’s hands.

She doesn’t know why, but she had this feeling to put on her pendant when she was preparing for battle.

She felt at a moment like that, she should be close to the only thing that tied her to her family.

But she remembered Drake also had a replica of her pendant.

“Where did you get it from?” She asked, her tone flat.

Kael was so overjoyed at the possibility of finally finding his sister, he didn’t notice the irritation in her tone.

“From my parents,” he smiled.

“Ohhh” Ella responded, losing interest.

“Have you tried opening the locket?” Kael asked, his heart beating with hope.

Ella stared at his eyes and saw the sincerity and yearning there.

Something tugged at her heart as she pulled out her necklace.

She had never thought to open the locket, she had always thought it was just a design on the pendant.

“Our family’s picture is in that locket and at the back is an inscription of our pack’s name.” Kael whispered.

Ella gasped as her trembling hands fiddled with the locket.

Kael, noticing her trembling hands, placed his larger ones on them.

“Let me help you” he murmured

He opened the locket and his eyes glistened with tears.

“I finally found you”

His voice broke as he looked up to the heavens.

“Mom, Dad… I finally found her”

Ella was confused. She took a peek at the picture and her breath hitched.

She saw a woman that looked so much like her, staring affectionately at the baby she was holding, a large man stood beside her and a little boy she assumed was Kael.

And the baby…

She choked as tears spilled down her face.

The image of the baby is the exact picture of herself when she was little.

Due to her baby pictures hanging on the walls alongside Sandra’s, she had never had a doubt they weren’t related.

Kael watched as her tears spilled. Something tugged at his chest.

“Do…do you also have a mark on your thigh?”

Ella stared up at him, her eyes still glistening with tears as she nodded her head.

“A silver crescent moon.” She choked.

“Oh moon goddess” Kael exhaled happily as he pulled Ella into a tight brotherly hug.

Ella allowed him to embrace her while her tears dropped freely.

On this day, she had lost one and had found another.
