Chapter 301 The Hidden Hacker
Their leader was cunning. All the money was laundered through cryptocurrency.

And behind him was a top–tier hacker. Every time they locked onto a location, the hacker could immediately transfer it, even striking back against their system and exposing a few victims‘ private information. The pressure was immense.
“No one can deal with him?” Jack asked.
Colt gave a bitter smile. “The bureau already brought in experts. None of them could do a thing. His counter–surveillance skills are too strong. The code he writes is like an indecipherable scripture. We can’t even catch his IP address.”
Scarlett stayed silent. This case was a hard bone to chew–so hard that everyone else avoided it.
And because she had been pushed to the sidelines, she had become the one forced to gnaw at that bone. If she couldn’t chew through it, she’d be held accountable.
Her chest felt heavy.
Rebecca’s situation carried more influence than she had imagined.
But…
Her computer skills had their limits.
Still…
A sudden spark flashed in her eyes. She turned toward Jasper.
“Mr. Fletcher, help me.”
Her eyes were filled with hope, her delicate face pleading.
“Give me all the information you have on that hacker.”
Everyone looked toward Jasper.
Colt froze. “You…”
He knew Jasper was a formidable man, but what did that have to do with hacking?
Jasper didn’t explain. He simply repeated, “The information. Give it to me.”
His tone was calm, yet carried a force that no one could refuse.

Colt hesitated, glancing at Scarlett.
Meanwhile, Thomas returned to his office.
The hatred in his eyes only grew.
His subordinate, Wagner, walked over in surprise.
“Mr. Wyndon, are you all right?”
Thomas clenched his teeth. Wagner wasn’t an outsider, so he didn’t bother to hide his words.
“Mr. Damian actually came personally to ask about Colt.”
Wagner froze, then his face paled with fear.
“If Mr. Damian insists on getting involved, won’t that affect us?”
Thomas’s expression darkened further. He didn’t answer.
Wagner continued.
“The only reason Colt was put in charge was because I recommended him to the higher–ups. You know Colt–he’s stubborn, and he never shows me any respect. Rebecca’s incident got him an internal warning, and I used that chance to cut him down a notch. But if Mr. Damian really decides to help Colt, what do we do?”
Wagner knew that even though he was the one who suggested it, Thomas was the one who carried it out.
If Jack started investigating, Thomas would be the first target.
That meant the two of them were tied to the same rope.
Thomas’s face grew even uglier.
“What else can we do? Just hope Colt doesn’t solve the case. If he does, you and I can pack up and get out!”
Wagner shivered inside. Read full story at Find[ɴ]ovel.net
If that happened, Colt absolutely could not solve the case.
But what could they do?
Someone like Jack would never give him a chance to interfere.

On the other side.
Colt clenched his teeth and handed Jasper a stack of printed code fragments and scattered information.
“These are all we managed to intercept. They’re useless…”
Jasper took the papers, gave them a glance, and walked over to an empty computer.
His expression had been calm, but the moment his fingers touched the keyboard, his eyes turned razor sharp.
He didn’t start typing right away. First, he quickly scanned through the code fragments, his brows furrowing slightly.
The room was silent. Everyone stared at him.
Even Colt felt uneasy. Jasper was impressive, yes, but he was a businessman. Could he really understand hacking?
The others were equally nervous, clenching their fists tight.
They knew it was likely false hope, but still, they couldn’t help but be anxious.
What if it worked?
Yet, thinking of the hacker’s arrogance, they felt no certainty at all. Maybe Jasper was just putting on a show and would walk away afterward.
But then-
Jasper’s fingers began to move.
Fast. So fast it made people dizzy.
His fingertips danced across the keyboard, producing a dense and crisp rhythm, like a rapid- fire piano performance.
Lines of code rolled down the screen, one after another. Strange commands appeared in quick succession. The previously chaotic interface gradually turned orderly.
Colt and the technical officers were dumbfounded, their eyes wide.
“What… what is that?”

The young officer with glasses muttered, “He’s writing a tracking program? No… this coding style… it’s bizarre…”
Colt understood some of the technical aspects, and the more he watched, the more shocked he became.
Jasper’s techniques were flawless, but completely unorthodox. The code that had looked like gibberish to them was as transparent as glass in Jasper’s eyes.
He was even reverse–parsing the traces left behind by the hacker–and he was doing it at an astonishing speed.
