One look at Curran’s miserable expression, and he doubled over, laughing even harder.

Some people found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. For Bobby, it came from watching his grandfather suffer.

In the following days, Fernanda traveled with Ashley to several cities. A fellow artist had filmed her painting at the exhibition and shared the video online. At first, it was just an insignificant post that barely gained any attention.

But since Fernanda was the focal point, people quickly took notice. Ashley teased her about it. “You’re more famous than those rising stars in the entertainment industry.”

Fernanda rubbed her forehead, half amused.

Ashley had never been the type to pry, but because of Fernanda, she had taken an interest in the latest drama surrounding the Morgan family.

Once she understood everything, she ran her fingers gently through Fernanda’s hair and let out a quiet sigh.

When Cristian called, he chuckled and said, “So, turns out my girlfriend is the famous Rose?”

“Yes. You even have some of my work at home.” Fernanda suddenly recalled the painting hanging on his wall from the first time she visited his apartment.

“Good thing I had the right response back then.” His voice was deep and smooth, carrying a trace of laughter.

His home was filled with paintings, but back then, he told her that the best one was hers.

Well, he really had an eye for talent.

Fernanda picked up on something unusual in his tone. “Have you been busy these past few days?”

“Sort of.”

“Cristian, you need to take proper breaks. That’s not a suggestion. It’s an order.” She knew how obsessive he got once he threw himself into work. “Don’t push yourself too hard.”

“Alright, don’t stress over it.” His voice carried a light chuckle. “I’ll visit in a few days, and you’ll see. I swear I’ll only put on weight, not lose any.”

“Hold on to that promise. If you so much as drop a pound, I’ll make you gain ten.”

Cristian’s eyes widened slightly at that.

He took pride in his discipline. His routine was sacred, and he was more than satisfied with his current physique.

As soon as the call ended, Cristian immediately dialed Amory. “Get me something to eat.”

Amory blinked in surprise before hurrying off to fetch it.
