Chapter 114
Chapter 114:
Cristian gave a quiet snort, looking smugly satisfied with her words. “And how would you introduce me?” he pressed, his lips curling into a smirk.
“As the famous Mr. Reed, of course,” Fernanda replied. “Or if you’ve got any other titles, just tell me, and I’ll make sure to include them.”
Cristian’s eyes narrowed, a gleam of mischief flickering in them as he regarded her with amusement.
“Other titles aren’t necessary, but there’s one you absolutely have to mention,” he said.
“What is it? Tell me.”
“Fernanda’s boyfriend,” he replied, his voice low but certain.
Those simple words left Fernanda speechless.
The idea felt so distant, like a dream just out of reach, still so far away.
“I am not your boyfriend at the moment, but I’ll make it happen,” Cristian said with conviction. “I’ll work hard to become your boyfriend.”
Fernanda was drenched when she stepped into the house.
The icy blast of the air conditioning inside the villa hit her like a wave, sending an involuntary shiver down her spine.
Ector emerged from the dining room, his gaze snapping toward the disturbance. When he caught sight of Fernanda, drenched and weary, he froze for a moment, concern etched on his face. “Fernanda, where on earth have you been? Why didn’t you call? I would’ve come to get you in this downpour!”
“I’m fine,” Fernanda replied, brushing off his worry. “I just need to change into something dry.”
Ector hesitated, then gave a brief nod. “Alright, go ahead.”
Back in her bedroom, Fernanda had a shower. Then she slipped into fresh pajamas.
The damp chill gradually melted away, replaced by a soothing heat that spread through her limbs, easing her into a state of relaxation. A light knock sounded at the balcony door, and Ector entered, a steaming bowl in his hands.

“I made this for you,” he said, his voice gentle. “It’ll help keep the cold away.”
Fernanda’s lips curled into a soft smile. She shot him a teasing look, her eyes sparkling as she quipped, “You’re so thoughtful. Whoever ends up as your girlfriend will be one lucky woman.”
Ector chuckled, shaking his head. “As if our parents badgering me about marriage every day isn’t enough—now you’re joining the chorus?”
“Just teasing,” Fernanda said, lifting the bowl and savoring a small sip of the fragrant soup.
As the warmth spread through her, a faint sheen of sweat formed on her brow, chasing away the last remnants of the cold.
