Chapter 121
Chapter 121:
The staff in the room exchanged confused looks, wondering if the girl had taken something from Rosita. Her serious expression only added to their curiosity.
But as they mulled it over, they realized that if Fernanda had truly stolen something, Rosita would’ve called the police right away. So why did Rosita seem so frustrated instead?
Rosita exhaled sharply, her frustration mounting, and turned to storm back to her office, slamming the door behind her with a forceful bang. On the coffee table sat a small envelope Fernanda had sent earlier.
Rosita picked it up and found a card with Fernanda’s name on it.
Flipping it over, she saw the phone number scrawled on the back. Rosita’s fingers itched to tear the card to pieces, but she held herself back, taking a deep breath to calm her rising anger.
Never in her wildest dreams had Rosita imagined being outmaneuvered by someone so much younger than herself—especially in such an audacious, blatant way. The thought alone was enough to make her blood boil. She sank onto the sofa, a headache beginning to form as the stress of the situation hit her. That call she’d made earlier had to have been recorded. What was she supposed to do now?
Just as she reached for the phone to make another call, the earlier incident replayed in her mind, making her more on edge than ever. She quickly dialed the security guards, ordering them to come to her office.
“Search my office thoroughly for anything unusual,” Rosita instructed the security team, her voice sharp with urgency.
They didn’t waste any time and, sensing the urgency, immediately started searching, not daring to overlook anything.
In the media industry, staying ahead with timely and fresh news is everything.
If a rival outlet managed to steal a story and report it first, the losses could be huge.

But this time, after a thorough search, nothing turned up. Fernanda hadn’t hidden any other recording devices.
Meanwhile, outside the office, the staff sensed their superior’s foul mood and wisely kept their mouths shut.
They pretended as if the chaos earlier had not happened and quietly returned to their desks.
Then, out of nowhere, someone shouted, “Wait—I know who she is!”
“What do you mean?” another staff member asked.
“The girl who came in earlier—she looked so familiar! I finally remember! She’s Fernanda, the daughter of the Morgan family, the one we’ve been covering in the news every day!”
The others paused to think, then nodded in recognition.
