Chapter 125:

Unable to endure it any longer, Levi smacked Alex lightly on the head. “Will you stop with the nonsense?”

Alex blinked, his large eyes full of innocence, a stark contrast to his imposing frame. “What did I say? I was just praising him! Earning money is a good thing, right? Did I say something wrong?”

Levi sighed but turned to Ector apologetically. “Please ignore him. He doesn’t mean any harm.”

“It’s all right.” Ector waved it off, his tone calm. “I understand what he’s trying to say.”

Glancing at his watch, Ector addressed Fernanda. “Now that you’ve met your friends, I’ll take my leave. I’m off to the company. Call me if you need anything.”

Fernanda nodded.

With a parting glance at the group, Ector smiled and strode away.

As soon as Ector disappeared from view, Levi leaned closer to Fernanda. “Your brother won’t be upset, will he? You know Alex didn’t mean any harm…”

Fernanda chuckled softly. “Don’t worry. He won’t. My brother has a good temper.”

Levi sighed in relief, though Alex still looked perplexed, scratching his head in genuine confusion. After all, he had only spoken the truth with all sincerity.

Neal, who had remained silent until now, rose from his seat, grabbed Fernanda’s suitcase, and began climbing the stairs. After a few steps, he paused and glanced back over his shoulder. “Which room?”

“212,” Fernanda replied.

The staircase wasn’t steep, making the climb effortless.

The dormitory was spacious, about thirty-five square meters, with two beds—each one and a half meters wide—flanked by matching desks, wardrobes, and drawers.

The pristine white furniture blended seamlessly with the decor, giving the room a crisp and refreshing vibe.

Levi and Alex stepped inside and immediately let out exclamations of admiration.

“A two-person dorm?” Levi said, his tone brimming with envy. “And look at all this space! Those beds look so comfortable. Why are we stuck with a cramped four-person room and bunk beds?”

Alex chimed in, equally disheartened. “Exactly! We’re all students at Esaham University, so why such a huge difference?”

“Because they earned their spots through the entrance exam. Unlike you, who can’t even win a game.” Neal smirked, running a hand through Alex’s hair in mock sympathy. “Don’t tell me that brat beat…”

“You again today.”

Alex straightened, clenching his fists as though ready for battle. “Not yet! He challenged me to a match at six tonight. This time, I’ll show him who’s boss. No way am I letting some fourteen-year-old humiliate me over and over!”
