“Well played, Judie,” Fernanda thought, a smirk tugging at her lips. She wasn’t about to back down. If it was a game of strategy Judie wanted, Fernanda was more than ready to play.

The next day marked the beginning of the academic year at the prestigious Esaham University. Around eight in the morning, after a quiet breakfast, Ector drove Fernanda to the campus.

Her belongings were minimal—a single suitcase containing only her personal essentials. Everything else had been taken care of in advance, thanks to Ector’s meticulous arrangements.

At the registration area, Fernanda spotted Wendy waiting for her, fanning herself with a stack of flyers.

“You’re finally here,” Wendy said with a playful grin. “I already picked our room—Building No. 25, Room 212.” Fernanda nodded slightly in acknowledgment.

With Wendy and Ector by her side, Fernanda made her way to Building No. 25. As they entered the lobby, familiar faces greeted them with warm smiles.

Levi was the first to approach, his enthusiasm evident. “Fernanda! You made it! Need help with your bags?”

Alex chimed in quickly, nodding. “Exactly! We remembered you injured your foot the last time we met, so we decided to stick around and lend a hand.”

“Thank you.” Fernanda offered a polite smile. “But my brother already had everything delivered. There’s nothing left to carry.”

“Your brother?” Levi and Alex exchanged curious looks, their attention shifting to Ector, who stood quietly behind Fernanda.

Levi’s eyes widened in recognition. “Oh, it’s you!” He turned to Alex, excitement bubbling in his tone. “Remember? His picture’s on the alumni wall of honor!”

Both recalled marveling at Ector’s accomplishments—a young graduate with a master’s degree, a company to run, and an undeniably striking appearance.

Alex, equally starstruck, couldn’t contain his admiration. “You’re incredible! You’re my idol! To have your photo on the wall at such a young age—it’s inspiring! Seriously, you’re a role model. Even as the general manager of your family’s company, you’ve proven your talent. And we heard you competed for scholarships every year! That’s dedication! It’s like you’re one of us—always chasing the next opportunity, haha!”

He glanced at Neal, who stood silently nearby. “Neal, look at this—some people never stop hustling. Even when they’re so wealthy, they still know how to make the most of what’s available. Isn’t that amazing? Haha!”
