Chapter 127:

“No, no,” Levi quickly dismissed the thought, waving his hands. “If it were her, it wouldn’t be such a big deal—she’s just an internet person. The one who’s really been stressing Neal out is a girl from a nearby school…”

Levi stopped mid-sentence when Neal shot him a warning look. He quickly zipped his lips, even miming the motion as if to promise he wouldn’t say another word.

Just as Fernanda and Wendy finished tidying up their dorm, Aidan showed up.

“Fernanda, welcome!” Aidan greeted her with a big, warm hug. “I was thrilled when I heard you got into our Esports Academy. I’ve been looking forward to this day, and now you’re finally here.”

Aidan’s face brightened with a warm smile, his eyes twinkling with joy.

“I appreciate it,” Fernanda replied with a polite smile.

“Your student ID is ready,” Aidan said, holding up an envelope. “I’ll leave it on the table for you. My number is in there too, so don’t hesitate to reach out if you need anything.”

Most students who took the entrance exams would ultimately choose other popular majors. Having someone join the Esports Academy was a rare occurrence. As such, Aidan treated Fernanda like a VIP.

Neal, who had been lounging lazily on the balcony, turned to Aidan and said, “Mr. Tucker, Fernanda hurt her foot and probably won’t be able to help much at the upcoming camp.”

“Oh no, you’re hurt?” Aidan bent down immediately, looking concerned as he examined Fernanda’s leg. “Where exactly? Is it bad?”

“It’s just my ankle, but it’s healing well now,” Fernanda answered.

Aidan nodded with understanding. “Alright, make sure you get plenty of rest and take it easy. You can sit back while the others set up the tents at the camp.”

After offering his words of comfort to Fernanda, Aidan departed.

“Wow, Mr. Tucker is really nice,” Wendy commented. “He’s so friendly and easy to talk to.”

“Yeah, he is awesome. Hey, beautiful, have you ever thought about switching majors to join our Esports Academy?” Levi asked.

“Nah, I’m not good at e-sports,” Wendy said, waving her hand dismissively.

Neal strolled back in from the balcony, rubbing his stomach as he scanned the room. “You all finished? Let’s go grab something to eat. I’m starving.”

The group made their way to a nearby street, eager for a quick meal. This wasn’t a place filled with fancy restaurants, but rather a collection of cozy, student-favorite eateries that gave the area a vibrant, lively vibe.

After some back-and-forth, they settled on an eatery that Levi couldn’t stop praising, claiming it had some of the best food around.

The eatery was packed, and the five of them stepped inside, scanning for a table. But just as they walked in, Neal suddenly spun around and walked out without a word.
