Chapter 156
Chapter 156:
Bonita’s anxiety and embarrassment were written all over her face as tears gathered in her eyes, threatening to spill. But she held them back, afraid he might turn his anger on her friends.
Wendy didn’t flinch. Instead, she reached across the table, her hand gripping the boy’s arm. With a firm tug, she peeled his hand away from Bonita’s face.
The boy cursed loudly, wrenching his arm back, then slapped Wendy’s head with a harsh swing.
He jabbed a finger in her face, his voice full of menace. “I told you to mind your business! Don’t make me hurt you!”
Wendy’s hair fell out of place from the slap. Without a word, she raised a hand and smoothed it back into place.
She didn’t look at the boy. Instead, her gaze shifted to Sloane. “Are you full?” she asked coolly.
Sloane blinked, unsure why she was suddenly asking that. “Yeah, I’m…”
“Full,” she replied. Wendy rose to her feet.
Her cold eyes met the boy’s, a faint, chilling smile curving her lips. In one swift move, she grabbed the back of his neck and shoved his head down, slamming it into the plate in front of him.
The boy bellowed, thrashing to his feet with remnants of food clinging to his matted hair.
Fernanda couldn’t hold back; laughter erupted from her like an uncontrollable wave.
“What’s so bloody funny?” he barked, jabbing a finger toward her, his face flushed with rage.
“I’m laughing at you,” Fernanda said, her voice still laced with amusement. “You look absurd. Why does it matter that I’m laughing? I’ll do as I please. Worry about yourself, or you’ll regret it.”

Her words, dripping with mockery, ignited his fury like a spark hitting dry kindling.
With a sudden outburst, he lashed out, kicking the table and sending it skidding across the floor.
Gasps and shrieks erupted from nearby customers, their chatter giving way to frightened murmurs.
The waiter, sensing chaos spiraling out of control, quickly reached for his phone to call the authorities.
“You stupid girl! Do you have a death wish?” the boy roared, aiming a kick at Wendy. But she sidestepped his clumsy attack with ease.
“Boys, show these insolent girls what happens when they mess with us!” he barked at his gang, his bloodshot eyes locking on Bonita as though she were prey.
The waiter tried to intervene, his tone calm yet urgent, but his attempts were drowned out by a barrage of curses and insults.
