Chapter 191
Chapter 191:
Throughout the five-on-five matches, Fernanda’s performance was a spectacle of consistency and dominance, seemingly unbeatable. Charged with new skills and progress, Fourteen’s initial dismay quickly evaporated.
It was clear now that Nimbus hadn’t lost his touch; today was simply not his day for one-on-one matches.
Back at the boys’ dormitory, a heavy silence hung briefly before Levi and Alex exploded into a frenzy of excitement, vaulting from their seats in disbelief.
“Is this real life? Did I genuinely outplay Nimbus, the undisputed top player in the region?” Levi yelled.
“Count me in! I never dared dream that I’d not only play with Nimbus but also triumph!” Alex boasted. “Gifford, you saw that, right? We both toppled Nimbus!”
Alex couldn’t contain his excitement, hammering on Gifford’s bedpost as he spoke. “We’re not just players; we’re champions now!”
“Yep, got every second of it,” Gifford responded dryly, sliding off his headphones. “You two should throw a grand celebration, complete with a banner boasting of your conquests to adorn the facade of our Esports Academy.”
Alex snapped his fingers enthusiastically. “Brilliant suggestion, Gifford! A banner will be perfect. But instead of the academy, let’s make our dorm entrance legendary with it! How does that sound?”
“Sounds perfect,” Gifford responded, his face shielded behind a book. “It captures your youthful enthusiasm just right.”
Levi shared screenshots of their victorious matches against Nimbus in the college group chat before sending a private message to Fernanda. “Fernanda, you’re incredible! You predicted our victory, and we actually pulled it off! Your words truly hold weight!”
Fernanda quickly typed out a cheerful barrage of “Congratulations.”
“Hey, why hasn’t Neal chimed in yet? He ought to be thrilled about our triumph,” Alex said thoughtfully, his curiosity piqued. “I’ll give him a call with this great news.”

Yet, the phone just rang endlessly without an answer.
“What’s the deal?” Alex murmured, frustration creeping into his voice. “Why isn’t he picking up?”
“Perhaps he’s tied up,” Levi suggested optimistically. “With all the buzz in our chat, he’s bound to notice it whenever he’s free.”
But as the night deepened, and Alex had drifted to sleep, his phone suddenly erupted with a jarring ring.
It was Neal’s number, but the voice that greeted him was unfamiliar—a woman’s.
“Hello, this is Esaham Central Hospital. The person who owns this phone is currently receiving emergency treatment. Are you a relative or a friend? Could you come immediately?”
“Emergency treatment?” Alex mumbled, still groggy, as he jolted awake. “What happened to my friend?”
