Chapter 195
Chapter 195:
“Gifford’s right, you guys should head back now,” Neal urged.
“Alright, we’ll go for now and come back in the afternoon,” Levi replied.
Alex’s eyes lit up with excitement. “Oh, wait, I almost forgot!” he said, eager to share with Neal. “Last night, we faced off against the top player on our server, Nimbus, and we actually won!”
“Seriously?” Neal’s lips curved into a faint smile. “Well done.”
Alex couldn’t contain himself. “You should’ve seen it, Neal! The intensity was unreal…” He kept rambling, clearly enjoying the moment, but Gifford cut him off.
“Alright, alright. We’ll save the details for later. Let him recover first. Your victory isn’t going anywhere.”
Alex scratched his head, a sheepish grin spreading across his face.
The three of them piled into a taxi and headed back to school.
“Wait, I’ve got an idea,” Levi said suddenly, his voice full of excitement. “I know someone who could take care of Neal.”
“Who’s that?” Alex asked, curious.
“Neal’s admirer,” Levi replied with a smirk. “She’s totally into him. She’ll go all out to help him. Plus, this is the perfect chance for them to spend some time alone and maybe even get closer.”
Levi felt like a mastermind, convinced he had just come up with the perfect plan for Neal’s love life.
If the two ended up together, Levi could claim the credit, and the idea made him feel amazing.
“Doesn’t this seem slightly inappropriate?” Gifford questioned. “That girl is obviously infatuated with Neal, but he doesn’t feel the same. Letting her take care of him might create some awkward situations.”
“All relationships start off a bit awkward, especially if they’re one-sided. However, once they spend some time together, the awkwardness will fade,” Levi said, sounding like a seasoned love coach.

“I still think it’s not a good idea.” Gifford remained unconvinced, shaking his head. “Neal should handle his personal affairs on his own. It’s not our place to meddle.”
“Oh, come on, Gifford, think practically. Isn’t that what friends are for? To nudge each other at the right moment?” Levi insisted. “Neal’s emotionally detached. Without our help, he might never find someone. Wouldn’t that reflect poorly on us as his friends?”
In Levi’s mind, his rationale was justified; helping his friend was a personal responsibility.
With no resolution in sight, they turned to Alex for his input.
Alex shrugged and said, “I’ve never dated anyone, so I’m clueless here. But I see where you’re both coming from.”
Levi and Gifford were left speechless by Alex’s diplomatic response, which managed to avoid taking sides.
