Chapter 196
Chapter 196:
Upon reaching the entrance of the dormitory complex, the three exited their car and noticed Fernanda.
“Hey, Fernanda!” Levi shouted, waving his hand to catch her attention.
Fernanda, spotting them, approached with Wendy by her side.
“What brought you out so early?” Fernanda asked.
“We’ve just come from the hospital,” Levi answered. “Neal has been admitted!”
“He’s ill?” Fernanda responded, taken aback.
“Not sick. He was attacked,” Alex chimed in. “Whoever Neal offended, they didn’t hold back. He’s pretty badly injured.”
“Yeah, it looks like his recovery might be slow. We’re thinking of asking Aidan if Neal can have some time off to heal,” Levi continued. At this news, both Fernanda and Wendy looked at each other, their expressions filled with shock.
“Can you tell me which hospital he’s at? I want to visit him later,” Fernanda inquired.
“He’s at Esaham Central Hospital,” Levi replied, just as a melodious voice interrupted from behind them. “Who are you all discussing? Who’s been hospitalized?”
As they turned, their expressions reflected sheer surprise at the sight before them.
It was none other than Sloane.
Today, Sloane had chosen to wear a Victorian-style dress in pink, lavishly decorated with frills and lace. Beneath the dress, a large hoop skirt added volume, while lace and tassels adorned the hem, swishing gracefully with each step she took.
Her outfit was completed with a white bonnet featuring a flowing veil, and she carried a matching white parasol. The ensemble was strikingly extravagant, capturing the attention of everyone around.
The three boys, having never encountered such an elaborate dress in person, were visibly stunned.
Sloane chuckled, twirling in her dress. “Do I look good?”

They all nodded in unison, overwhelmed by her appearance. “Absolutely beautiful, truly stunning.” Sloane’s smile widened in delight.
“But you still haven’t told me—who’s in the hospital?”
“Our roommate, Neal. He’s had an unfortunate accident,” Levi explained.
“Oh?” Sloane gasped, covering her mouth with her gloved hand. “That sounds serious. Is he doing alright now?”
“He’s stable now,” Levi reassured her.
Sloane had gathered from Fernanda the connections within their group. She knew that Neal was the boy Bonita admired.
The thought struck her that Bonita would be devastated to hear this news.
Sloane’s extravagant attire drew occasional glances from passersby, making the boys feel slightly awkward. Deciding it was best, they chose to return to their dorm.
