Chapter 207
Chapter 207:
Fernanda’s versatility was evident—she seemed to master whatever she attempted.
“Let’s start practicing right away,” Levi suggested enthusiastically. “Choose a song, and we’ll dedicate today to perfecting it.”
As they settled on a song, Fernanda pulled out her phone to search for the music. However, she was distracted by an incoming message from Robert.
He was requesting her presence at home for a Sunday dinner with the Harpers, stressing that it was important for her to attend.
Fernanda dreaded the upcoming dinner, especially given Judie’s unfriendly demeanor towards her.
Robert’s message went unanswered as Fernanda swiftly closed it, opting instead to navigate to a website dedicated to music sheets in search of electric guitar compositions.
She found a particularly elegant score that closely matched the original and produced a beautiful sound, though it proved a bit intricate. Complex compositions generally require a high degree of proficiency, as they often involve elaborate chord structures.
“Think you can manage this piece, Fernanda?” Levi inquired, his tone laced with concern. “Is it too difficult?”
Having experience with the acoustic guitar, Levi could assess the score Fernanda had chosen and recognized its difficulty.
“I’ll do whatever I can,” Fernanda responded. “I’ll try my hardest not to let the team down.”
“There’s no letting down here; we’re a team,” Levi quickly reassured her. “We’re excited you’re part of this performance. It means the world to us.”
Grinning, Fernanda replied, “Thank you for your kind words.” She dedicated over seven hours to practice and was eventually able to perform the piece flawlessly.
“You’re incredible, Fernanda!” Alex couldn’t help but marvel, utterly impressed.
He had been observing from a distance, witnessing Fernanda’s initial struggles give way to a masterful execution, showing marked improvement with each attempt.

Now it was time to practice with the entire band.
For this performance, they decided on a duo of lead vocalists, one male and one female, with Sloane as the female lead.
Sloane’s vocal timbre transformed when she sang; her speaking voice was light and sweet, but her singing revealed a gentle rasp that added a mature, alluring quality.
Her singing style was completely different from the way she presented herself.
As evening approached, they were wrapping up their rehearsal. Levi exhaled a sigh of relief, feeling ready to give a positive update to the academy.
The ordered boxed meals arrived promptly. Fernanda picked one up and settled by the window to eat. Just then, her phone rang—it was Cristian.
Fernanda answered immediately.
Cristian sounded taken aback by her quick response. After hesitating, he asked, “Have you been near your phone?”
“Just now.”
