Chapter 220
Chapter 220:
It wasn’t until the evening, when Ector knocked on her door to announce dinner, that Fernanda messaged, saying, “I’ll finish after this game. I will be having dinner.”
Fourteen quickly replied, “That’s such a coincidence! I was about to have dinner after this round too!”
Fernanda, caught off-guard, eventually responded, “At this hour, most people are likely eating dinner.”
“Well, I think we might have a special connection,” Fourteen remarked.
“I can even picture us eating at the same table.”
Fernanda retorted, “Why do I suddenly feel less hungry?”
Fourteen sent a sad emoji in response.
After the game, Fernanda logged off and ended her stream without further interaction.
She freshened up, washed her hands, and headed down to the dining room.
Two minutes later, Erika and Kevin also came downstairs.
Kevin glanced at Fernanda with a look of hatred.
The cheerful atmosphere from earlier gaming had evaporated after Erika shared some unsettling news with him: Fernanda was reportedly causing disturbances at school, mingling inappropriately with various men, and behaving recklessly.
Kevin was embarrassed to be related to someone acting in such a manner.
His recent newfound respect for her, based on her gaming abilities, now faded; he was disillusioned by her real-life behavior.
He had realized that excellence in gaming did not necessarily correlate with good character. Truly honorable gamers like Nimbus, who not only excelled in their skills but also in their moral conduct, were indeed rare.
Kevin noisily dragged out a chair, his annoyance plainly visible. He looked at Fernanda, only to find her engrossed in her meal, paying no attention to him.
Kevin felt compelled to confront Fernanda, to urge her to improve her behavior and align her real-world actions with her virtual prowess.

Yet, he restrained himself.
He concluded she wasn’t worth his time.
The following day, Fernanda stopped by Zero Degree to speak with Leon, who regretfully informed her that there was still no update regarding Mr. Bernard and the boy.
“It’s fine, take your time. If it’s meant to be, we’ll find them,” Fernanda responded.
Leon felt a pang of guilt for not accomplishing even this small task for Fernanda.
After Fernanda shared a meal at Zero Degree with Leon, Robert called her, asking her to return home.
The Morgan family was preparing for the Harper family’s visit that evening, with several chefs hired to prepare an array of seafood and desserts.
“Fernanda, make sure to dress appropriately tonight. We’re expecting important guests, and you can’t just wear a T-shirt and jeans,” Robert said, clearly displeased with her attire.
“Understood,” Fernanda replied, heading upstairs without further ado.
