Chapter 324
Chapter 324:
The cheerful expression on Bobby’s face vanished instantly, replaced by cautious vigilance as he kept his eyes fixed on the newcomers.
Fernanda couldn’t help but think how much of a coincidence it was. What a small world, really, that they had unexpectedly run into Rafael, who just happened to be there to get his bandages changed.
Even though his face was bruised and swollen, making his eyes appear smaller than usual, Fernanda still recognized him.
“Mr. Hudson, is that you?” Fernanda greeted with a smile. “Here for your bandage change?”
“What a coincidence. I didn’t expect to see you here, Miss Morgan,” Rafael replied.
The woman beside Rafael immediately stiffened at the mention of “Miss Morgan,” casting a wary look at Fernanda. She appeared to be in her early thirties, with a chin and mouth that closely resembled Rafael’s. Fernanda quickly put the pieces together and guessed that she must be Braylee Perry, his sister. Her husband, Roscoe, happened to be the CEO of Bloom Group.
“Braylee, meet Mr. Harper and Miss Morgan,” Rafael introduced, confirming Fernanda’s assumption.
“Oh, it’s you,” Braylee responded coldly, her voice lacking any warmth.
The conversation died down, and the air grew tense and uncomfortable. Braylee continued to stare at Fernanda’s face with intense scrutiny, her gaze filled with no trace of kindness.
Fernanda, on the other hand, remained unfazed, calmly locking eyes with her. In fact, she even offered a faint smile in return.
Her sharp eyes seemed to carry an unspoken edge, as though they could cut through any pretense and directly confront the underlying hostility Braylee was trying to hide.
In the end, it was Braylee who turned away—not from fear, but from sheer disdain. To her, Fernanda was nothing more than a nobody, undeserving of her attention or effort.
“Let’s get your bandages changed. Don’t keep the doctor waiting,” Braylee instructed Rafael.

Rafael nodded and walked away with her, deliberately steering clear of the group.
The sharp click of Braylee’s high heels echoed with each step, their clear, crisp sound bouncing off the floor. In the vast, empty parking garage, the noise reverberated in a deep echo.
It wasn’t until they entered the elevator that Braylee voiced her thoughts. “That Fernanda isn’t someone to be underestimated. She has quite the presence for someone so young.”
“She’s a wretch,” Rafael muttered between clenched teeth. “If it weren’t for her, Ava wouldn’t have ended up in this mess because of her.”
“Ava’s being completely stupid!” Braylee shot back, her voice cutting. She had nothing but disdain for Ava. “She messed up everything herself. She’s the one who caused all of this—Fernanda should not be blamed for standing up to her.”
Rafael, still holding on to his defense, replied, “Even if Ava made mistakes, a lesson would’ve been enough. Was sending her away really necessary? Now, I can hardly visit her at all.”
Braylee sneered, her sharp gaze locking onto Rafael. “It’s her stubbornness that got her sent away. She wouldn’t even apologize. If I were Fernanda, I would’ve done the same thing.”
