Chapter 388
Chapter 388:
A look of surprise flashed across her face, her finely arched eyebrows knitting together slightly. The smile that had lifted her features slowly faded into a slight pout.
Then, cutting through the quiet, Cristian’s voice emerged sharply, saying, “What’s catching your eye?”
The woman quickly snapped her gaze back, her expression reverting to the bright smile she wore upon arrival. “Oh, I’m admiring the guitarist! I was curious about who was behind such lovely music. It’s a beautiful young lady, much to my amazement! It’s truly unfair. She’s blessed with both a stunning visage and remarkable musical skills.”
Cristian’s demeanor visibly softened, the coldness melting into a smile as he heard her praise.
“I’d be delighted to meet such a talented individual.” She simultaneously filled two wine glasses. “I’d like to honor her with a toast using your wine, if I may?” she said.
She then took the two glasses in hand and moved away with a lively smile.
Not until Fernanda finished playing her guitar piece did she finally flutter her eyes open. She was swept up in the surreal mix of pink and blue lighting that filled the bar, feeling as though she had stepped into another realm.
Then, standing directly in front of her, she noticed someone holding two glasses of wine.
Through the soft lighting, the person’s face was reminiscent of one she had seen in a photograph from the campus beauty pageant shown by Sloane. Instantly, the name Jordyn Becker sprang to mind.
The individual before her was unmistakably Jordyn!
Jordyn offered Fernanda a glass of wine, saying, “Your performance was exquisite! I’m quite taken by it. Would you mind sharing a drink with me?”
Descending from the stool, Fernanda accepted the wine from Jordyn.
Turning her gaze to Cristian, she noted his intense observation of her. Fernanda had seen Cristian arrive by himself earlier, but now it seemed Jordyn had joined him. Regardless of whether they arrived together or not, it didn’t particularly concern her.

Fernanda quickly sipped the wine Jordyn provided.
“My throat was dry from singing, and I hadn’t managed to grab a drink,” she explained. “This is wonderfully refreshing and sweet. Thank you.”
“It’s nothing, really. The wine isn’t mine; it’s a friend’s,” Jordyn replied with a grin. “If you’d like, you can join us for more drinks at our table?”
The invitation from Jordyn caught Fernanda off guard. From Jordyn’s casual manner and tone, it appeared she didn’t recognize Fernanda.
Fernanda responded with a gentle smile, “Yes, I’d like that.”
She placed her guitar aside, stepped down from the stage, and approached Cristian’s table with Jordyn by her side.
“Hey Cristian, this lovely lady here couldn’t stop talking about your wine, so I thought we’d join you for a round,” Jordyn said with a bright smile.
Swiftly, she filled several glasses with the wine, exuding warmth and hospitality. “Help yourselves, drink up. Don’t worry about the bill—my friend here is covering it, and he’s not short on cash,” Jordyn teased with a playful wink, her demeanor both charming and spirited.
