Chapter 421
Chapter 421:
Sloane felt she was inching closer to becoming the strong, independent woman she aspired to be.
After some time, Vinson offered to drive Sloane and Fernanda back to Esaham University.
The car pulled up at the entrance of the dorm building, its massive frame drawing curious glances from passersby.
As Fernanda was about to step out of the car, Vinson stopped her. He seemed to have something to say.
Sensing his intentions, Sloane decided to excuse herself. “Fernanda, I’ll head off first. We’ll catch up later!”
Fernanda nodded. “Okay. See you later.”
Once Sloane left, Fernanda shut the car door and turned to face him.
Vinson didn’t beat around the bush. He looked at her and said, “I saw your name on the list for the upcoming beauty pageant.”
Fernanda nodded slowly. “Yes, and I heard your family’s fashion company is sponsoring it this year.”
“That’s right. And the winner will become our brand ambassador.” Fernanda gave him a measured look, silently waiting for him to continue.
Was this the only reason he brought it up?
Yes, she had joined the pageant. So what?
Vinson hesitated, as if choosing his words carefully, then continued, “Do you want to win? If you do, I can make it happen for you.”
Fernanda blinked, taken aback by Vinson’s offer. She never expected that from him.

“Are you saying you can help me win?” she asked, her tone laced with skepticism.
Vinson nodded. “Yes. The results of this competition depend on votes, but honestly, those votes can be manipulated. I can guarantee you a solid lead. No one would suspect a thing.”
Fernanda studied him carefully for a moment, then asked, “Why are you offering to help me?”
“Because I think you’d make an excellent model,” Vinson answered matter-of-factly, his admiration for her evident. “You have the looks, the poise, and the ability to represent our brand perfectly. If you work with us, it benefits our company and builds a stronger image for us. And you’d get a generous bonus, elevate your school’s reputation, and gain recognition yourself. It’s a win for everyone.”
Fernanda nodded with a smile. “That’s a pretty compelling argument. So, if I agree, you’re saying I could secure the title without lifting a finger?”
Vinson nodded.
