Chapter 528
Chapter 528:
By then, Cristian had settled into a sleek black sedan parked curbside. In the back seat, a young girl turned to him with a beaming smile and asked, “Cristian, did you notice the paparazzi taking pictures of you?”
Sporting short, gray-dyed hair and bold smoky eye makeup, the girl looked both youthful and daring. A lit cigarette dangled from her fingers, and a vivid rose tattoo adorned her hand.
Without a word, Cristian took the cigarette from her lips and extinguished it, his action smooth and decisive.
Her eyes widened in surprise. “We’ve barely said hello, and you’re already putting out my cigarette? You didn’t even ask if I missed home.”
“I’ve told you time and time again about smoking.” Cristian gave her a stern look. “Imagine what your brother would do if he caught you smoking.”
Undeterred, she tilted her head back defiantly and said, “Well, I dare him to try punishing me! Besides, things have changed. Now that he’s engaged, I doubt he has time to interact with me.”
Cristian paused, a serious look crossing his face. “Have you actually met her—your brother’s fiancée?”
“No, I’ve just returned and haven’t made it to Esaham yet,” the girl replied as she stretched out, appearing quite relaxed. “I haven’t met her face-to-face, but I’ve caught glimpses of her online. I must admit, she is quite the sensation. Even though she’s not a celebrity, her fame could easily rival one.”
Cristian’s laughter filled the space. “You haven’t even met her, and you’re already so fond of her?”
“Well, she’s beautiful and smart. Of course, I like someone like her. And she’s going to be part of our family, after all.”
After a brief pause, Cristian nodded thoughtfully. “True, she’s going to be part of our family.”
With a playful giggle, the girl leaned in closer to Cristian. “You’ve met her, haven’t you? Tell me, is she as stunning in real life as she appears in the photographs?”

“Yes,” Cristian replied without hesitation. “She is indeed more striking in person.”
Her eyes sparkled with excitement, and she clasped her hands over her heart. “I’m so eager to meet her now!”
Cristian chuckled softly, his eyes twinkling with amusement. “Evie, aren’t you afraid that she may not meet your expectations?”
“No way,” Evie Harper quickly replied. “I believe the girl you and my brother both admire won’t be a disappointment.”
Cristian could only agree with her reasoning.
“By the way, weren’t you stationed in Esaham all this time? What brought you to Litdence suddenly?”
