Chapter 708
Chapter 708:
Meanwhile, not far from them, Sloane and the others had gathered around a table while Fernanda performed. Sloane, animated and enthusiastic, waved two glow sticks she’d acquired, syncing perfectly with the beat of Fernanda’s ballad.
“This is incredible,” Sloane exclaimed, theatrically dabbing at her eyes as if moved to tears by the performance. “It surpasses the original! How does Fernanda capture the essence so beautifully? It’s as if she’s serenading directly to my soul!”
After her dramatic display, Sloane turned to the group with a determined look. “I need Fernanda to teach me how to sing!”
“Think you can manage that?” Alex challenged her with a playful yet sincere tone. “Between aiming to match Fernanda’s fitness, mastering Wendy’s bartending, and now singing, do you even have the time?”
“I’m eager to learn from everything,” Sloane replied with enthusiasm.
“Typical of a woman,” Levi smirked, “Hopping from one pursuit to another, never settling on one for too long.”
Sloane glared at him, her eyes sharp with defiance. “You’re just talking nonsense,” she shot back. “And what do you mean by ‘never settling’? Haven’t I been hitting the gym consistently with Fernanda? Haven’t I been honing my bartending skills with Wendy?”
Levi smirked again. “Come on, you’ve been at it for six months and still can’t manage a single proper push-up? Still lifting just five-kilogram dumbbells for your flyes? And your cocktails—do people actually enjoy them, or do they fear they’re sipping some sort of toxin?”
Alex couldn’t hold back his laughter.
A blush of embarrassment spread across Sloane’s cheeks, and with a sharp motion, she brandished the glow stick in her hand at Levi. “I challenge you to a duel!”
Levi, no stranger to her fiery spirit, swiftly rose and dashed away.
Sloane pursued him with relentless fervor.

Levi, known for his quick wit and biting humor, had grown so close to Sloane that their earlier formalities had completely dissolved. Now, their exchanges were full of scathing wit.
They bolted from the bar, sprinting through a side door and into the neighboring shopping mall.
Indeed, Sloane’s regular workouts were showing. Her improved stamina allowed her to chase Levi effortlessly, barely breaking a sweat. Once reluctant to walk even a kilometer, she now routinely covered five kilometers each evening.
Levi, on the other hand, found himself gasping for air.
He acknowledged his prior neglect of physical fitness. The benefits of regular gym visits were undeniable, and he knew he had to incorporate them into his routine.
As he fled, Levi’s eyes suddenly gleamed with opportunity.
He spotted the men’s restroom ahead and made a beeline for it.
Inside, he propped himself up, hands on his knees, chuckling breathlessly, “Step inside if you’ve got the guts!”
Sloane shouted from outside, “Don’t even think about stepping out!”
