Chapter 760
Chapter 760:
At those words, Clement’s head snapped up in an instant. His gaze flitted from Levi to Alex, his eyes gradually widening as if a revelation had dawned on him.
“I’ve got it!” he exclaimed.
Levi, who had just taken a sip of his drink, eyed him curiously. “Got what now?”
Clement leaned forward, a mischievous twinkle in his eye. “You don’t actually like women, do you, Levi?”
At that, Levi choked on his drink. He managed to turn his head just in time, saving the steaming pot from a fizzy shower.
“Ah, you scoundrel!” Alex clutched his broad shoulders, adopting a teasing, falsetto tone. “No wonder you’ve never bothered with a girlfriend—you’ve been secretly obsessed with me!”
“Fuck off already, you two. Leave me alone!” Levi snapped, his voice rising as he pointed accusingly at his friends. “Stop this nonsense!”
Laughter erupted around the table, infectious and bright. Even Neal, who had been quiet, found himself chuckling, his earlier gloom lifting somewhat.
As the evening wound down, Clement and a few others tidied up before Fernanda ushered them out of Neal’s room.
“You’ve been up all night, Neal. Try to get some sleep. We’ll swing by later tonight,” she remarked gently as they left the room, leaving Neal to his thoughts.
With a weary expression, Neal pressed his fingers to his temples and gave a slow nod.
“Don’t worry about that negative news about you,” Fernanda assured him in a steady voice. “I’ve got everything under control.”
“Alright,” Neal responded, his voice raspy with fatigue.
“Since the competition has wrapped up, everyone can afford to unwind a bit,” Fernanda continued, standing just outside the doorway. “There’s no need to hit the studio daily anymore. It’s summer break, after all. Maybe take a vacation, or whatever you all prefer.”

Levi’s normally playful expression vanished, replaced by a look of deep concern. “Fernanda, are you sure Neal is alright?”
“He’s fine,” she assured, her voice unwavering. “I’ll sort everything out. Don’t you think I can handle this?”
“I know you’ve got this. If not you, then who else can I trust?” Levi replied without hesitation.
“Leave it to me. I’ll deal with it as soon as possible.”
No sooner had she finished her assurance than Cristian leaned close, whispering in her ear, “I have an update. We’ve identified the person who spread the news today. It’s someone you know.”
As Fernanda stepped out of the apartment building, a wry smile tugged at her lips in response to the information Cristian had just shared with her. “Well, this is unexpected.”
The identity of the mastermind behind Neal’s defamation caught her off guard, as it was someone she had never suspected.
Cristian’s phone displayed an electronic contract, the signature at the bottom clearly reading “Beckett.”
