Chapter 807
Chapter 807:
Ector walked in, his gaze taking in the chaos. “What happened here?”
Fernanda shrugged indifferently. “It’s just a minor incident. It’s already been taken care of.”
Ector rarely visited her studio, so Fernanda could tell this wasn’t a casual visit.
“Dad asked me to invite you home for dinner today. It’s Kevin’s birthday,” Ector said to Fernanda.
Fernanda’s gaze shifted from Ector to Kevin behind him, who seemed reluctant to be there.
Fernanda smirked and replied, “Me? At Kevin’s party? I’d rather not crash his celebration.”
Kevin immediately turned to her, his frown deepening in a way that clearly showed his disapproval.
“You haven’t been home for a while. Why don’t you come back and visit? I’m sure Kevin wants you there too,” Ector said softly.
Kevin immediately spoke up, “Speak for yourself. Don’t lump me in with you.”
He didn’t want her to come. He didn’t care if she showed up.
However, Kevin didn’t argue with Ector. As his older brother, Ector knew Kevin intimately. Kevin claimed not to care, but his eyes had clearly brightened when their father mentioned inviting Fernanda.
He clearly liked Fernanda but was too stubborn to admit it.
Kevin pulled a chair toward him, sat down, and lowered his head to play on his phone.
Just then, Clement spoke up again.
“Fernanda, my head hurts,” he whined.
Kevin instantly looked up and stared at Clement.
“Is it your wound that hurts, or is it inside your head?” Fernanda asked.

Could his headache be a result of the earlier fight?
“I don’t know. It just hurts.”
The look on Clement’s face was that of a wounded puppy seeking comfort from its master.
Fernanda gently pressed against his temple. “Should we go to the hospital to get it checked out?”
Clement bent his neck, resting his chin on Fernanda’s shoulder. They were standing face-to-face, so it appeared as though they were embracing. He leaned on Fernanda and stared directly at Kevin. Then, he smiled—a provocative smile.
“It hurts a lot, Fernanda. Please come with me to the hospital so I can get it checked out,” Clement whined.
“Okay. Let’s go,” Fernanda said without hesitation.
Kevin immediately shot up from his seat and jabbed a finger at Clement. “Cut the act, you liar!”
Ector tugged at Kevin. “What are you talking about, Kevin?”
Kevin shook Ector off and replied, “He’s faking it. He just smirked at me.” Kevin couldn’t tolerate it. If Clement had something to say, he should just say it. Why pretend to be in pain?
