Her family no longer had to live under Jett’s oppressive control. She was finally free from the nightmare she had lived through every single day.
She was completely free!
Without warning, Bonita burst into tears and hugged Fernanda happily. “Thank you, thank you so much, Fernanda,” Bonita said, tears streaming down her face. “You’ve saved my life. How can I ever repay you?”
Fernanda patted her back and smiled. “I did promise to help you, didn’t I?”
“I only thought you were helping me get rid of Beckett. I never in my wildest dreams thought you meant to help me solve the problem completely. What would have become of me if not for you? I am so lucky to have a friend like you,” Bonita said amidst sobs.
All her misfortune had ended during that vacation after the SAT test.
At that time, she had watched Neal’s livestream and gotten to know him. She had also made up her mind to apply to Luminary University. Then, she met Fernanda.
These people had changed her life for the better.
Her life was different now. Not only was Beckett gone from her world, but even her parents’ attitude towards her had changed.

Fernanda suddenly felt the urge to see him.
She had been busy with a programming course for the past few days and hadn’t seen Cristian in almost a week.
Fernanda immediately packed her things and asked Sloane to help come up with an excuse if her absence was noticed in the next class. She needed to see Cristian.
Sloane was surprised when she received Fernanda’s voice message. “You never skip class, Fernanda. Are you sick?”
“I’m fine.”
“Then why are you skipping class?”
Fernanda was a model student with perfect attendance, so it was surprising to Sloane when her response was, “For love.” This left Sloane at a loss for words.
