Chapter 860:

Five young men entered, striding straight toward Ritchie.

The ringleader leaned in with a smirk. “Hey, painting?”

Ritchie remained silent, purposely turning back to his artwork.

“This won’t do,” the leader declared.

He grabbed a brush, dipped it into the paint, and savagely streaked it across Ritchie’s painting, ruining the pristine yellows with a chaotic mix of colors. The once beautiful shades now merged into a disordered mess.

He then flung the brush into a water bucket, splattering grimy water over Ritchie.

“How’s my painting?” he boasted to his friends, who erupted in laughter and praised his “masterpiece.”

“Hahaha, it’s brilliant!”

“Exactly, anything you paint is a masterpiece.”

Their cruel laughter echoed harshly in the spacious studio, sparking rage in anyone who heard it.

Ritchie remained composed, picking up the brush and attempting to salvage what remained of the damaged painting.

He meticulously assessed the palette, wiping away the lesser-painted areas and gently removing the top contaminated layer from the more heavily painted sections, preserving the intact paint beneath.

Ignoring the taunts, Ritchie continued his careful restoration. Seeing his indifference, fury flashed in the leader’s eyes. He grabbed Ritchie by the hair and pulled him off the stool.

Ritchie tumbled backward, landing on the floor as his palette crashed down, scattering vibrant paint across his jeans.

As the leader grabbed Ritchie’s wrist, Fernanda intervened. She caught the leader’s wrist, her tone cool yet firm. “Release him, or you’ll regret it.”

The leader, Andrew Parker, turned to see who had gripped his wrist, and his gaze met Fernanda’s, leaving him momentarily breathless.

Damn! He knew there were a lot of beautiful women on the campus, but he had never seen anyone this stunning before.

Her face seemed familiar, but he couldn’t quite place where he had seen her.

Pain suddenly shot up Andrew’s wrist, snapping him back to reality. His bones felt as though they were being ground into dust.

“Ahhh!” Andrew cried out in pain.

He immediately let go of Ritchie’s hair, but Fernanda’s painful grip remained on his wrist.

Fernanda had assumed when they first arrived that the group was part of the studio, but their actions had made it clear they were here to bully Ritchie. When Fernanda finally let go of Andrew’s wrist, he felt no sensation in his hand except for sharp throbs of pain.

“How dare you assault him? You’ll pay for this. You won’t leave this place unharmed,” one of Andrew’s lackeys said through gritted teeth.

When they had walked in, they had assumed Neal and Fernanda were just fellow students and had expected no interference from them.
