Chapter 934
Chapter 934:
Besides, today wasn’t even Selma’s birthday. Fernanda had managed to get hold of Selma’s information and knew her actual birthday was in the summer, not in the winter.
Things were beginning to get quite interesting.
The dinner table soon filled with exquisite dishes, including Kevin’s favorite—fresh seafood. Ector was absent, with Robert explaining that Ector was staying in an apartment near the company and rarely came home.
Erika, unusually quiet, kept her head down as she ate. She pretended not to notice Fernanda’s presence, avoiding eye contact as if their last conversation had never occurred.
“By the way, I’m in a relationship,” Fernanda suddenly announced, breaking the uncomfortable silence.
The whole table fell silent immediately, and all eyes turned to Fernanda. It was Robert who finally broke the silence.
“Oh? You’re dating? That’s good. You should bring him home someday,” Robert said with a smile.
“He was supposed to be here, but something came up last minute, and he had to cancel,” Fernanda replied.
“I like busy young people. It shows how motivated and driven they are,” Robert continued, his smile unchanged.
Fernanda was taken aback by his response. Normally, Robert would have questioned her thoroughly about her boyfriend. He would have forbid her from seeing him if his family background was modest, or he would have flown into a rage, scolding her for losing her mind. But today, he had done none of those things. Instead, he simply accepted the relationship without asking a single question.
Did he know that Cristian was her boyfriend? That seemed unlikely, as Robert would have reacted much more violently if he had known. Robert’s behavior was starting to feel increasingly odd.
Without dwelling on it further, Fernanda picked up her fork and began to eat, mimicking whatever Michelle was eating.
A ding sounded from the kitchen. “Oh dear, my oatmeal is ready,” Michelle exclaimed, rushing into the kitchen.

In her haste, she accidentally burned herself. Instead of asking the servant for help, she rinsed her hand with cold water herself.
Soon after, Michelle brought out the oatmeal, already ladled into small bowls, and placed one in front of everyone.
“This oatmeal recipe was taught to me by a lady. She said it’s delicious, so you all should give it a try,” Michelle said, smiling warmly. The soft, creamy oatmeal was packed with a variety of fruits and nuts, making it look incredibly appetizing.
Kevin took a bite and gave Michelle a thumbs up.
“Why aren’t you eating, Fernanda?” Michelle asked, noticing her hesitation.
