Chapter 935
Chapter 935:
“I’m waiting for it to cool down a bit. It’s too hot,” Fernanda replied. She then focused on her food until Kevin finished his bowl of oatmeal. When he was about to go for a second helping, Fernanda passed him her bowl. “You can have mine.”
Kevin was a bit surprised, as he wasn’t used to Fernanda showing him any care.
Michelle was so startled by Fernanda’s action that her fork slipped from her hand. However, she quickly stopped Fernanda from handing her bowl to Kevin.
“You can go get it yourself from the kitchen, Kevin,” Michelle said sternly.
Kevin, puzzled by his mother’s reaction, took his bowl to the kitchen.
Michelle then turned to Fernanda with a smile and said, “That bowl of oatmeal was specially served for you. There’s no need to give it to Kevin since there’s more in the kitchen. Didn’t you just say it was too hot? It’s cooled down now, so you should try it.”
Robert chimed in, “Michelle specially prepared this for you. You should at least give it a try.”
All eyes were on Fernanda.
Slowly, she scooped up a spoonful of oatmeal and put it in her mouth. To her surprise, it actually tasted good.
“It’s delicious,” Fernanda said, smiling at Michelle.
Michelle smiled back and replied, “Have some more.”
Fernanda reached for a piece of spareribs, but in doing so, she accidentally knocked the oatmeal bowl to the floor.
“I’m so sorry. I wasn’t looking,” she apologized.
Robert’s face darkened with anger, and he started to say something, but Michelle stopped him. “Don’t worry about it. Mistakes happen.” She then called a servant to clean up the mess.

Kevin happily devoured most of the seafood dish on the table. Once he was finished, he returned to his bedroom to play games.
Erika also went upstairs and soon called Michelle into her room, claiming she couldn’t find one of her necklaces.
Once Michelle entered the room, Erika quickly shut the door and asked, “Does Fernanda suspect anything, Mom?”
“That’s not possible.”
“Then why didn’t she eat the oatmeal? Why did she throw it on the floor? Did she see you put something in it?”
“That’s unlikely. It could just be a coincidence that she spilled the oatmeal,” Michelle replied.
“What do we do now? She didn’t take the spiked oatmeal. When Mr. Griffin comes later…”
“Shh!” Michelle hissed, putting a hand over Erika’s mouth. “I have a plan.”
