Chapter 974
Chapter 974:
Now, it turned out she had seen right through him from the start.
Would she think he was fake? Or worse, completely out of his mind?
Noticing his distress, Fernanda simply smiled. “That’s why I’ve always found you so endearing. You’re actually pretty adorable.”
No wonder Nimbus had been so sure his sister didn’t hate him. It was because Nimbus was Fernanda.
Kevin dropped onto the sofa, his mind struggling to catch up.
What were the odds?
Before he had even known Fernanda existed, they had already built a connection.
He turned to Fernanda, his voice laced with curiosity. “When did you discover my identity?”
“I’ve known for a while,” she admitted. “I just wasn’t sure how you’d take it, so I kept quiet.”
“Then why are you telling me now?”
“Because I think you’re ready for it,” she said matter-of-factly. Kevin had already been through so much change recently. Fernanda doubted this revelation would shake him.
He blinked, processing her words. After a long moment, he let out a simple, “Oh.”
He sank deeper into the sofa, staring at the ceiling as his mind replayed every single interaction with Nimbus. Then, every moment he had spent with Fernanda since she returned to the Morgan family. The more he thought about it, the hotter his face burned. This was beyond humiliating. Absolutely mortifying.
But strangely… he also felt happy.
Nimbus wasn’t just some online friend. She was actually his sister!
After a long stretch of silence, Kevin sat up, his expression turning serious.

“I’ve made up my mind,” he announced. “From now on, I’m sticking with you, no matter what!”
“Sticking with me?” Fernanda grinned as she turned to Kevin.
“Thinking about joining my team?”
Kevin’s eyes lit up with excitement. “You mean I can?”
“No.” Her answer was blunt.
Kevin’s face fell. He pointed at someone inside the training room and shouted, “Then why does he get to?”
Fernanda followed his gaze. He was pointing at Ritchie.
Kevin remembered Ritchie from a previous league match. The guy was a player from another team, yet here he was, clearly recruited by her.
If Ritchie could join, why couldn’t he?
