Chapter 980
Chapter 980:
“You little brat…” Curran’s expression shifted to fury. “Why the hell didn’t you say something sooner? You kept this from me all this time!”
“Take it easy, Grandpa! I just got my hair done yesterday!” Bobby yelped as he dodged a few swipes, but he didn’t fight back. He let Curran land a couple of harmless smacks, knowing it was better to let him vent. “I’ve known about Cristian and Fernanda’s relationship for some time, and I fully…”
“Support them? I think they’re a great couple.”
“A great couple, my ass!” Curran cut him off sharply. “Quit playing matchmaker!”
“I’m not! I’m just telling you the truth. And honestly, whether you approve or not doesn’t change anything. Their relationship is solid.” Bobby was determined to get Curran to accept reality. “They’re meant for each other! They were childhood friends, lost touch for years, then found each other again. If that’s not fate, I don’t know what is. It’s like a story straight out of a novel!”
“Enough!” Curran waved him off, his irritation only growing. “Shut your mouth. Don’t make things up!”
“I’m not making anything up! If you don’t believe me, ask Fernanda yourself.” Bobby gestured toward her. “Was I telling the truth?”
Curran turned to Fernanda, and when she gave him a small nod of confirmation, his face darkened even further.
A sharp pang shot through Curran’s chest.
Fernanda met his gaze, her voice steady. “Cristian and I have known each other since childhood. We grew up together, spent years by each other’s side, and even after life pulled us apart, we found our way back. We’ve walked this path together, step by step, and I’m not going to leave him.”
“You’re not going to leave him? No, you have to!” Curran snapped, his frustration spilling over. “Open your eyes! You two are completely wrong for each other!”
“Wrong for each other?” Bobby scoffed. “Come on, Grandpa, give me one solid reason why they don’t belong together.”

Curran smacked Bobby on the head.
“He’s bad luck! Fernanda will never be happy with him!”
But Fernanda simply shook her head and corrected him, her tone firm. “That’s not true, Curran. Cristian has always been my good fortune. When I’m with him, I’m happy. He brings me joy, not misery.”
“You’re hopeless!” Curran huffed, his anger barely contained.
Fernanda, however, only smiled. “No matter how much you disapprove, my feelings won’t change. I love Cristian, and I choose to be with him.”
“I like you,” Curran grumbled before narrowing his eyes at her. Then, like a mischievous old man, he blurted out a childish question. “Tell me this—who do you love more, Cristian or me?”
