Chapter 116
Jaden stood tall amidst the battered courtyard, his voice slicing through the tense air like a blade.
"The Blake family has no more use for vicious wives. And from today onward — no one threatens my people." His eyes gleamed coldly as his words settled like a noose around the Blake name.
Meanwhile...
Just beyond the chaos, Damian Blake sat hunched behind the wheel of his black luxury sedan, knuckles white on the steering wheel, sweat beading on his forehead. His normally composed face twisted with desperation as he maneuvered toward the estate's back gate, the hum of the engine roaring low like a beast in flight.
"Damn it... damn it..." he muttered, peering through the rearview mirror. "That lunatic took out Captain Steven — a Second Lieutenant, former special ops — like it was nothing."
His voice shook as fear clawed at his chest.
"If that monster stays... my family's finished..."
But Damian had underestimated the predator he was dealing with.
In the distance, Jaden's sharp senses pricked at the faint screech of tires on gravel, his gaze narrowing instantly. His lips curled into an amused smirk.
“Leaving your own family behind before you've even looked me in the eye?" Jaden chuckled darkly, eyes glittering with disdain. "What a man.....”
Without wasting a second, Jaden's body blurred into motion. His figure dashed forward with impossible speed, covering the distance to the escaping vehicle like a shadow racing the wind.
Inside the car, Damian slammed the gas pedal to the floor. The vehicle surged forward, weaving past fallen debris, but-
THUD!
An unnatural weight slammed onto the hood.
The windshield cracked under the sudden impact as Damian's eyes went wide with terror.
Jaden crouched atop the hood like a phantom, his fist buried in the car's steel frame, effortlessly crushing the reinforced metal beneath him is expression was maddeningly calm predatory and amused.
"Where you headed, Master Blake?” Jaden asked, waving at him mockingly through
the fractured glass, his voice dripping with taunt and deadly intent.
“Shit!” Damian cursed, wrenching the steering wheel. But the tires skidded helplessly; the car wasn't fast enough — not against a monster like this.
In defeat, Damian slammed the brakes, the car screeching to a halt. The door flew open as he stumbled out, hands raised in surrender hist once proud figure now reduced to a trembling shadow of himself.
"I- I apologize!" he stammered, voice cracking under the weight of humiliation. "I didn't know my son offended someone like you! If you Want money, power anything
name it, it's yours!"
His chest heaved as he lowered his head in bitter submission.
But fate wasn't finished toying with him.
ROARRR-
A thunderous engine cut through the air as a military jeep tore around the corner, its massive frame barreling down the road toward them.
A gruff voice boomed from inside, commanding and impatient. "Who the hell is blocking the road?!"
Damian's head snapped up. His eyes lit up with desperate hope, his trembling lips curling into a twisted smile of salvation.
"Captain Kelvin!" he yelled, bolting toward the military vehicle, his voice cracking with relief. “Help me! I'm over here—”
