Chapter 117

The King Of War Returns (Jaden Rift) · NovelDrama.Org

Jaden leaped down from the car roof like a phantom descending from the clouds.

His boots hit the ground with a solid thud that echoed in Damian Blake's ears louder than the pounding of his own terrified heartbeat.

Before Damian could react, Jaden seized him by the collar, lifting him effortlessly off his feet like a rag doll. Their faces were inches apart.

"No one's coming to save you," Jaden whispered with a deadly calm, his grip tightening, his eyes dark and merciless.

Suddenly-

VROOOOM!

A roaring engine tore through the still air as a military jeep screeched to a halt nearby, dust swirling in the headlights.

The car door slammed open, and out stepped a broad-shouldered man in a crisp military uniform, his face stern, his boots polished to a mirror shine. Dozens of armed soldiers followed, fanning out in formation like trained wolves awaiting orders.

Captain Kelvin had arrived.

Damian's eyes lit up with desperate hope as he stumbled forward, straightening his wrinkled collar, forcing a fake smile onto his pale face.

"Captain Kelvin! You came just in time!" Damian barked, his voice laced with false bravado. "I called for you the second I heard! Who the hell dares humiliate the Blake family on our own estate?!"

Kelvin's sharp eyes scanned the scene, his boots crunching on gravel as he approached. His men followed closely, rifles ready, tension crackling in the air.

Damian wasted no time pointing directly at Jaden, his hand trembling with both anger and fear.

"It's him! That bastard!" Damian spat. “First, he crippled my son! Then he beat my wife—humiliated my guards—and now, he's trying to kill me in broad daylight!" His voice quivered as his desperation bled through his words. "Captain, I demand you destroy him! Arrest him, kill him, kill his whole damn family—”

But Damian's rant choked off mid-sentence.

Because Captain Kelvin, the pride of the regional military, the man feared by criminals and respected by kings—froze in place.

His eyes locked onto Jaden.

And in that instant, realization struck his face like lightning.

His pupils shrank.

His jaw clenched.

A thin sheen of sweat appeared at his temple.

The King of War...

Kelvin's expression morphed from confusion to awe-then pure terror. He dropped

to his knees without hesitation, slamming his fist to his chest in a soldier's salute so sharp it echoed in the air.

"Your highness... -" His voice cracked as his soldiers stood frozen, stunned at their captain's sudden submission. "Forgive me, sir. I didn't recognize you from a distance."

Jaden smiled faintly, his arms crossed, watching the scene unfold like a cat toying with a dying mouse.

Behind him, Damian gawked in disbelief, his jaw slack, eyes wide with confusion.

"W-What the hell are you doing,

Kelvin?!" Damian shouted, panic risingaike bile in his throat he's just

some thug who knows how to fight!

somet

Shoot him! Kill him! Kill his whole

bloodline if you have to!"

SLAP!

Kelvin's palm struck Damian across the face so hard his head snapped to the side, blood trickling from his split lip.

"You idiot!" Kelvin roared, glaring at Damian like he was lower than dirt. "You have no idea whose name you've been cursing!"

Damian stumbled backward, holding his burning cheek, still too stunned to speak.

"You want to drag me into your death wish? Kelvin snarled, his voice sharp as a blade. "You fool... That man is the King of War-the nightmare of enemies the shield of this nation! You've already doomed yourself!"

Kelvin turned back to Jaden, his voice trembling with both fear and respect.

"My King... I apologize. Had I known it was you, I'd have come groveling, not with

rifles.” He lowered his head again. "What are your orders, sir?"

Jaden's smile widened slightly, his eyes sharp as daggers.

"Simple,” Jaden said coldly, his voice calm, but every word carried the weight of death. "I want the Blake family... wiped off the map."

The soldiers stiffened.

Kelvin didn't even flinch.

"Yes, sir." Kelvin nodded firmly, already signaling to his men. "We'll erase them like they never existed."

"No-NO!" Damian howled, dropping

to his knees, crawling toward Jađen, his dignity shattered completely "Please! I'll pay you! give you. everything Money properties-just spare my family, spare my life!"

But Jaden's eyes remained void of mercy, his face unreadable as the soldiers grabbed Damian, dragging him toward the awaiting military vehicle like trash ready for disposal.

“Anyone who threatens my family..." Jaden muttered, turning his back as Damian kicked and screamed. "Doesn't get forgiveness."

"Please! Please_wait-NO-!"
