George drove the car away.

Nydia rolled her eyes in the direction that George had gone and cursed, “What is his problem?”

Gloria pursed her lips but decided not to comment on it. Sometimes, words would only make people. uncomfortable. It was better for them to collide and get to know more about each other.

“Let’s go in,” Gloria said before leading Nydia and Irene to enter the restaurant.

Claude and his family were already there. Their faces were gloomy. Probably, they had just had a discussion, and it was not a nice one.

Claude saw them, wrinkled his brows, and asked, “Isn’t George coming?”

Gloria replied in a casual way, “He is parking the car and will be here in a minute.”

She pulled out a chair and sat down. Nydia and Irene sat on either side of her.

They were like her guarding angles. Gloria knew that they were trying to protect her and felt sweet.

Angela looked at Gloria with hatred but said nothing. Apparently, she was containing her emotions.

Martha smiled, “I see. Let’s wait for a moment before ordering the dishes.”

Gloria gave no response. She was aware that Claude had invited her over for the properties but wanted to know things about her father.

As she had expected, Martha started in an awkward way, “Gloria…”

She paused and acted like she was trying to organize her speech or just to get Gloria’s attention.

Gloria looked up at Martha but had no intention of picking up the conversation. She would not grant Martha’s wish.

Angela gritted her teeth but did not dare to say anything harsh. That would only infuriate Gloria, and their aim would be out of the question.

Why? Why is Gloria doing so well now? She is so lucky to have multiple identities. People either fear her or try to curry favor with her. If she were not Norma, my family wouldn’t have been in so much trouble.

Martha also felt helpless but had to ponder about how to bring it up.

“We invited you here to have a discussion with you. We know that it makes you upset, but at the end of the day, we’re a family.”

Nydia grinned. The disdain in her eyes was undisguised. Playing the family card at such a moment? They gave full play to their cruelty when they were harming their family.

Gloria was unresponsive and had no intention of talking. She was just sitting there looking at the table.

After a while, she felt bored and took out her phone.

Gloria turned a deaf ear to Martha’s words and turned a blind eye to her presence.

The atmosphere was a bit awkward. Claude and his family gazed at Gloria, not expecting her to be so supercilious.

Angela lost it. “Gloria, my mother is talking to you.”

Although she was annoyed, she fought back the urge to call Gloria by her full name.
